Motherboard
Gigabyte GA-X99P-SLI
CPU
i7-6850K
Graphics
GTX 1080
I've been looking all across the internet, and I haven't found anyone who has attempted to build a hackintosh with similar components to the ones that I'd like to use. I'm thinking it's probably because some of these parts are brand new releases (namely the CPU and GPU). I'm pretty new to the whole hackintosh thing (in fact, I'm pretty new to building computers altogether). Does anyone know if any of these parts would not be supported in El Capitan? And I know the Thunderbolt 3 from the mobo won't work yet, but do you think the Thunderbolt 2 card might work? (Assuming it even works on this mobo; I'm not sure how to tell).
I'm building this computer for film and TV editing, so it's pretty crucial that I choose components that don't have any compatibility issues. The programs I mostly use are DaVinci Resolve and the Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects).

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Broadwell-E is totally unsupported but evidently is usable - see https://pikeralpha.wordpress.com/author/pikeralpha/

Thanks for your response, Going Bald.
Anyone else have any ideas or suggestions? Does anyone have the GTX 1080 working? And are there any guides to get the new Broadwell-Es working?
Thanks

Hi im in the same boat as you except im getting a gtx 1070 and 6800k instead, Im not buying my parts till the end od this month though. I am going to get a gt 710 as well as the 1070 as non of the 10 series card are supported (yet). The Motherboard looks to just about be supported and im hoping to luck out with getting the cpu to work. Non on the Xeon Broadwell EP CPU's are supported. If it doesn't work after 6 ish months i'll be gutted haha

If the next MacPro refresh uses Broadwell E then it would be supported. Until then it will be quite a challenge
to run OS X on that hardware. Especially if this is your first hackintosh attempt. Support for the 1080 would
have to come from Nvidia unless Apple does a switch back to their cards in the near future. Not very likely.

GTX1080 not supported yet, need wait nVidia update their web driver, also need to confirm if they decide to support GTX 1070/1080 in their next web driver.
