Hello,

So im new to hackintosh and I fell in love with it after i got a MacBook, i could not get enough of the gui, simplicity and over all beauty of the OS. At the moment im running this machine on win10 with:
All my hardwear is either Gigabyte or Intel. ( I dont have anything with msi or anything of that sorts only gb and intel)
z170x Gaming 7 motherboard
Windforce GTX 980 nvidia
i7 6700 skylake CPU
Cooler Master GTS v8 CPU cooler
16 gb of DDR 4 ram
1 SSD
1 500GB HDDR
1 1T HDDR
and a really crap dvd driver.

Im having some issues, i managed to get the OS installed and it works to some extent. The Ethernet does not work, i tried to installed the basic drivers with clover and also tried all the options in multibeast, so internet is a no go. Also my display, i have a benQ 144hz monitor at 2560x1440 and the display is black (i used a smaller screen + HDMI to actually go though the installation but have to use it after i installed as well). Also when i log in i see these white lines which move up on my screen and when i scroll in the settings or a window i see black blocks appear randomly and disappear once i loaded that section. I did follow the thread for skylake CPU and added that code to my config thing.

Any ideas what im doing wrong? I tried reinstalling over 10 times using different methods, following different threads and all lead to the same 3 problems( internet, graphics and screen size).

Any help would much be appreciated!

thanks

Lorenzo

I have an almost identical system and I run into almost identical issues. Hackintoshes are the realm of broken promises - it looks good on paper but in reality it either doesn't work or barely/kinda works. I had hackintoshes for the last 7 years so I guess I know something about them...

Dear Salkio,

When your create USB installer with Unibeast 6.2 you should inject NVIDIA into USB

IF you can boot to PC success with out safe mode, please run multibeast 8.2.3 to inject Realtek 2.2.1, NVIDA into your HDD.

And you should read this post carefully before Install :

Thank,

I see, ill give this a go again, as before i did inject nvidia. Im not sure about the other options ill try that! And i did read this thread but some parts are not the same ie creating the partition, for me the layout is different and i cannot see these options.

Never even once did I have a 100% functioning hackintosh and certainly not with tonymac's tools or guides. The best I had was a hackintosh that didn't wake from sleep and didn't shut down properly - and this is true to 99% of the builds. Look at the threads in this forum - most of the people can't get a working hackintosh and even those who do get it working - look more closely at their post and you'll usually see at the bottom that "oh yeah USB doesn't work properly / my screen doesn't wake up after sleep / my audio works but crackles"... etc.
The same configuration kinda works for some people while for most it doesn't - no one knows why. It's a throw of the dice. This is why a professional will never ever use a hackintosh if he can buy a real mac.

You are so wrong about this. I have a 100% working Hackintosh for less than half the price of a real Mac Pro and I'm a professional designer using Adobe's Creative Suite. No restarts. USB works. Sound is fine.

As for the OP and his non-working ethernet: does it work in Windows?

You are right! But for the past 4 days i have been trying different methods and i think finally i have a 99% working hackintosh.

Ok so i have fixed internet and screen resolution! But the only problem (which isnt really a problem for me) is that i have to boot from the USB. I have to select boot from USB and then select Boot MacOS from SSD blah blah. Any help on this?

Sounds like you don't have the Clover bootloader on your SSD.
