Hi all!

Just wanted to say that i got my UX305UA working pretty good.

Everything works fine except:
The trackpad
Intel Wifi (no surprise)

I had problems booting at first but i just added SATA-100-series-unsupported.kext to "OTHER" and it booted up fine.

Does anyone know why the trackpad doesn't work? I've tried all kexts out there but none works.
And how are you dealing with the WiFi-thingy, do you get a dongle or do you replace the card inside?

Thanks all!

Which trackpad do you have?

And please...

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

Mobo: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
Mobo: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Note: When specifying your bootloader, if using Clover legacy, please be sure to specify "Clover legacy"). Specifying "Clover" will be assumed as "Clover UEFI"

I will provide the details asap, since i've got three builds I'm not sure which one to post.
I've been trying to find out which exactly trackpad it is but i can't find it anywhere (noob?=)

Thanks in advance!

You can tell which trackpad from ioreg...

Attach ioreg as ZIP: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/58368-guide-how-make-copy-ioreg.html. Please, use the IORegistryExplorer v2.1 attached to the post! DO NOT reply with an ioreg from any other version of IORegistryExplorer.app.

As for your profile, use the signature to enter all builds (ignore 'build signatures' though).

I don't see a PS2 trackpad in this ioreg. Seems likely your trackpad is connected via I2C not PS2. You should check/verify in Windows.

Only if it is PS2. I checked the ioreg again... no PS2 trackpad (but there is a PS2 keyboard). But there is a couple of nodes related to I2C.

I2C will very quite common with Skylake... (the ioreg indicates the laptop is Skylake).

Many new computers are using I2C instead of PS2. It will require the development of new kexts... which requires those that may have the skills to develop the software to acquire a laptop with I2C and spend the time to develop the kexts...
