I have the AR9462 inside my Asus Laptop and I'd like to replace it with the BCM94352HMB as said here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.164990/

I read, that on some laptops there is a vendor lock for wifi cards. How do I found out if my laptop has such a lock?

That is the only way to find out. Fortunately, the cards are inexpensive and easy to sell if it doesn't work out.

I bought the card I posted up there and it arrived today. I can confirm that its fully working on my computer. No BIOS vendor lock or any other problems. Following the guide to get it working worked on first try. Thank you.
