Once again I did fresh installation, on 10.11.4 - I was able to install newest nvidia drivers and then I made mistake... with Clover bootloader.

I didnt see there was 'customise' button and I installed it as it was by default, then I did it again with proper settings... but once I try to boot from it or from USB stick now, I get the prohibited sign.

Is there a way to reverse it, or should I start from scratch again?

Hey malki, could you tell me how you've connected your fans to the Mainboard and how many you're using? I seem to have absolutely terrible heat values on my CPU in OS X. My CPU (5930k) runs at at least 50C° - and that's with a Coolermaster Nepton water-cooling (Windows - smooth 23-27C°). In HWMonitor I can only see the RPM of my GTX970 and Mainboard fan 2 although there should be at least 3 4pin header fns recognised around the Mainboard... Any Idea on what I might be doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

I have 7 fans. Idle cpu in bios is 30c while overclocked to 4.3ghz. In osx the temps r displayed higher but not too bad. Make sure your cpu cooler is properly applied with thermal paste.

It's just a guess on my behalf, I'm new to all this! I found this:

https://www.ableton.com/en/help/article/radeon-hd-crash-mac/
http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/ableton-crashes-on-start-because-of-graphics.71578/

I know they're different gpus but I'm really scratching my head as to what it is, tried reinstalling but it's still the same. I might try using a previous version of Ableton, don't know whether that might help?

Crazy how ableton has a guide for hackintosh users. First daw company i see that aknowledged it! Try using nvidia web drivers or downgrading to yosemite

Thanks to a good portion of your guide I'm currently booted from my 10.11.5 SSD with:
i7 5820K @ 4.2 GHz
Gigabyte GA-X99-UD3P
GTX 980 Ti
32GB RAM

There are currently a few issues...

1) It boots when it feels like it. Sometimes I get the AptioFix2Drv error, sometimes I don't and it boots fine. No changes in the config or Clover boot arguments.

2) The Mac Pro definition didn't work so I kept it as iMac 14,2. In fact, the only way I could boot from the actual SSD/installation was to copy everything from my Clover USB (plist, ssdt, kexts, drivers) to my SSD's EFI.

3) USB 3.0 does not show up, only USB 2.0. (related to above?)

4) I can't find this "Test2.efi" you're referring to in any of the posts so I'm unable to install additional PCIe devices.

Audio problem:

5820k
asus x99 deluxe (ALC1150)
gtx 970
32gb ram

All is working ok, but the sound is driving me crazy. I can´t follow your method because mutibeast audio patch fails. Force close. EFI mounted, kext replaced, etc.

With voodoohda the sound worked, but after some reboots, again, bye bye sound.

Turns out it was an issue with Waves software being in my Ableton template. Figured this out after a fresh install :banghead:. All working perfectly now. Thanks again for this guide!

Hm, I just realized that after sleep/wake, the CPU will no longer run at full speed. Has anyone seen this?

haven't experienced that, although I don't use sleep. Are you having any other issues?
