I have a lenovo x1 carbon, with intel hd 5500 graphics. I can't change my DVMT in my BIOS, but it says the total graphics memory is 512mb (maximum allocated possible?). Inside of OS X it says I have 14mb, and all the animations such as launchpad and opening downloads is very laggy. I know this is an issue with the amount of vram that is being used/allocated. Does anybody know a solution to my problem? I tried reading some guides but i'm kind of a noob to this so I don't really know how to patch binaries and all that stuff, but if someone would help that would mean the world to me. Thanks! Oh also I'm using a clover boot loader on my USB if that makes a difference.

Can i use chimera because i read somewhere that chimera injects intel hd 5500..

Chimera does not support 10.11. If you follow the guide, the correct settings are in config.plist for HD5500.

Also I don't really understand the links in the broadwell section, can u help me

You should start by filling out your profile as requested in the guide.

If it is your first time messing with BIOS extract, etc, you should probably not expect to understand until you start working with the tools...

Are there any simpler solutions other than trying to mess with the BIOS? Thanks in advance

There is the minStolen patch, but results are likely to be unreliable.

If you can set DVMT-prealloc, that is preferred.
