Hello matthewnothing

Sorry to bother you. I'm going to make a similar build to yours. I would just know whether you used Clover or Multibeast and if you encountered any issue during installation/post installation, expecially on native audio.

Thanks

Hello matthewnothing

I'm thinking to build a new hack with Gigabyte Z170X UD5 (non TH version) and GIGABYTE GTX 970.

Would you be so kind to elaborate a little more about your installation procedures?

Thanks
ws

It was honestly just following, in-depth, the video from the top post from start to finish.

You'll need to do the 'clover configurator' trick to enable nvda_drv=1 !!!

For the Z170X UD5 (non TH), use the exact same BIOS settings as described in the video/post. The only unique alterations I made to the process were selecting and installing the "IntelMausiEthernet v2.1.0.d0" driver under "Network" in Multibeast, and changing my profile to iMac 14,2 in 'clover configurator' (not sure if the 14,2 did anything, honestly?).

Thanks for you reply ;)
My concern is that I'm starting from scratch, i.e. my hard disk is empty and mu USB stick must be formatted and operated with Unibeast.
All that said, where are Clover folders? When cmfusco11 reboots he can choose from several Clover settings. Where are they.

I was used to install OSX through a USB stick and then run Multibeast to complete installation. Is this still possible or do I need to create a Clover USB install stick.
This is my concern.

Thanks for your invaluable help.
Yesterday I ordered all the hardware components to build my next hackintosh. It will be a dual boot machine, on two different HDs, of course.

Here's the list...
1 x Gigabyte GA Z170X UD5 TH Motherboard ATX (GA-Z170X-UD5 TH)
1 x CPU Intel Core i7-6700K
1 x RAM DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz 64GB (4x16GB) CL16
2 x SSD Samsung 850 PRO 512GB 2.5"
1 x CPU Corsair Hydro Series H60 (120mm)
1 x Corsair RMX750 750W 80+ Gold
1 x VGA Gigabyte nVidia GeForce GTX 970 WindForce 3x Core 1114/1253MHz Memory GDDR5 4GB
2 x Western Digital Red 2TB 3.5" Intellipower 64MB SATA3
1 x Case Midi-Tower Cooler Master CM 690 III Windowed USB3
1 x DVD/CD Samsung SH-224FB DVD 24x SATA

2 x Pendrive Corsair Flash Voyager 16GB USB2.0

So I'll be quite busy in the next few days...

BTW Gigabyte GA Z170X UD5 NON TH is not so easy to find...

Best of luck!

Thank you so much for this guide! It helped me so much! I tried to get my hackintosh up and running last night and today but then I found this! I have the Z170x-UD5 without TH and a gtx 970. The only thing that did not work is the audio. But installing the 100 series audio did the trick.
Thats awesome I am happy this worked for you, I also run into issue were when i power off it restarts and then i can power off again and it actually powers down 2nd time. Weird idk why but not a huge issue.
