Hi guys wanted to give some hope to those out there considering a build similar to mine. Below is my link to my youtube video and guide to what was purchased and how the build went.

Installation
Start by downloading the following software on a MAC to a USB drive:
UniBeast, MultiBeast, Nvidia Web Drivers, Clover Configurator.

Entered USB into 3.0 Drive (didn't have success in 2.0 oddly)

After installing all the hardware parts I then booted into BIOS by pressing DEL during start splash screen.
Loaded optimized defaults
XMCI Hand-off ->Enable
Super IO Configuration-> Disable
VT-d ->Disable
Windows 8/10 features -> Other OS
Storage Boot Option Control -> UEFI Only
Boot Option #1 -> USB drive
**Save and Exit**

After reboot, it should reboot into USB and Clover screen should popup. At the Clover boot screen, go to Clover Options icon (gears) by using arrow keys and enter. Once in clover options, click on the Boot ARGS and delete whats in there and enter "nv_disable=1", hit enter, and scroll down to Return and hit return.

Now boot from USB. It will show progress bar, and, then, the OS X installer should pop up. Before continuing I went into the Disk Utility and formatted my SSD as "Mackintosh HD"; it formatted and erased. Then, I went through proper install of OS X. After OS X installs, it will reboot and Clover will pop up again.

For Part 2 of the installation, go again into Clover options (gear icon), click on the Boot ARGS and delete whats in there and enter "nv_disable=1", hit enter, and scroll down to Return and hit return. Now you double click on your target install disk. Upon booting into the installation, you will install your personal settings as if you're setting the Mac up for the 1st time; I just set my WiFi and name and skipped everything else.

After you get to the El Capitan Desktop screen, finish setting up keyboard, and then open your USB drive. Copy MultiBeast into the /Applications folder. Then, run MultiBeast. For my components, I choose:
Quick start UEFI boot mode (installs Clover and FakeSMC.
Select drivers ( I ended up not doing this as my audio was not working with ACL1150)
****(See below for I ran into problems)***
Build -> Install-> admin password
Close and exit MultiBeast.

Install the Nvidia drivers if you have a new Nvidia Graphics Card. After the Nvidia drivers install, restart the computer and enter the BIOS. Redefine the Boot Option #1 paramiter to your El Capitan drive. Save and exit the BIOS.

After the restart, you may remove USB. The booting process will load the Clover boot screen, and auto boot into your El Capitan installation within 3 seconds.

If your computer restarts and loads OS X no problems CONGRATS!!!!!! Enjoy!!!!

If your computer does not load, you may need to boot again, and, during Clover boot, move the arrow within 3 sections to stop Clover from booting into El Capitan. Go back into Clover Options, and add "nv_disable=1" to the Boot args again. Then, boot into El Capitan. After it loads back up, you'll need to enable the drivers so that they start upon load with out manually adding codes. To do this open Clover Configurator:
Mount the EFI Partition
Select Your Drive, If you only have 1 SSD you would have no issue, I would recommend you not have USB plugged into not cause confusion.
Open EFI Partition > EFI folder > Clover folder
Config.plist (double click)
Boot(left side under sections)
Check the box nvda_drv=1 and uncheck nv_disable=1 if checked.
Then click File and Save
Exit Clover And Restart Computer

!!!!CONGRATS!!!! You should boot into El Capitan with no problems. If you have any issue please check tonymacx86.com for any assistance or post in this thread so I can try to help!

Whats Working
WiFi
Bluetooth
Handoff
iMessage (sometimes)
GTX 970 graphics
Audio USB speaker
Audio USB Mic

Not Working
iMessage sometimes works but then sometimes does not, cannot figure out what is causing it work then not work at times.

Audio was a real pain to figure out as the ACL1150 from MultiBeast did not work so I followed a guide on ****** to get it to work and now working just fine. However, I now now that by downloading toleda's audio_realtekALC-110.command']ALC-110.command, mounting the EFI partition and running audio_realtekALC-110.command, I could have gotten the ALC1150 auto to work if MultiBeast didn't get it work.

Thank you so much for this guide! It helped me so much! I tried to get my hackintosh up and running last night and today but then I found this! I have the Z170x-UD5 without TH and a gtx 970. The only thing that did not work is the audio. But installing the 100 series audio did the trick.

Curious what part you used for Wifi + BT Adapter Handoff/Continuity featured in the video?

Would appreciate any tips. Very close to put together a similar setup myself, just finalizing the mobo decision, as I really want Thunderbolt.

How is your sleep / wake / shutdown behaving?

Amazing walk-through! Did my build yesterday and it works great!

i7 6700K (OC'ed to 4.6)
Gigabyte Z170X UD5 (non TH version)
EVGA GeForce GTX750Ti
G SKILL Ripjaws4 DDR4 3000

In order for the LAN connection of the Z170X-UD5 to work, I installed the drivers (in Multibeast) for IntelMausiEthernet v2.1.0.d0

Cmfusco11, did you use a wi-fi/bluetooth combo PCI-E card? What was the make and model if so?

Planning my own build with the exact same specs/parts... Anyone can advise power consumption once it's up and running — at idle and in full throttle working with heavy video/graphics? TIA

this post is awesome I got mine up and running in less than 2 hrs. I am new in mackintosh, so I don't understand many terms like running command after mounting EFi partition. EFI partition is on the USB drive. so after mounting it where do I run the command? do I run the command before installing the Mackintosh or after..though I don't have much interest in Sound, because I have USB DAC.. so UBS although are working BUT, when I try to connect any storage device.. they DO NOT show up. mouse, keyboard ,DAC extras are working fine but Storage on USB ( THUM drive, USB hardisks - Nada !! Help Please..

Hello matthewnothing

I'm thinking to build a new hack with Gigabyte Z170X UD5 (non TH version) and GIGABYTE GTX 970.

Would you be so kind to elaborate a little more about your installation procedures?

Thanks
