Thanks for the great guide.

I've got everything working on my NUC6i3SYH, except that the CPU speed is showing as 3.59Ghz (should be 2.3Ghz):

Not a big deal as it seems to be only cosmetic, but is this expected?

You can set the correct CPU-clock in the config.plist:

<key>CPU</key>
<dict>
<key>FrequencyMHz</key>
<integer>2300</integer>
</dict>

BUT ATTENTION: This seems to break the Voodoo-Audio!

I tried that, but as you say it breaks audio (including my USB soundcard). Since I use the NUC mainly as a soft synth hooked up to a midi keyboard that's not really an option for me. I'll just live with having the wrong information in "About This Mac"

Hi

Thank you very much for this thread.
If you are interested on get info of temperatures, power consumption and frequencies, Intel Power Gadget 3.0.3 seems to be working on NUC 5i6

Kind regards

The general advice is that it's easier to install on separate drives -- just disconnect each one while the other is installing and applying initial OS updates, and make sure to install Windows in UEFI mode if OS X is installed in UEFI mode.

That said, I have only done the single-drive install myself.

Hello,
Thats exactly what I wanted to do on my new (first hackintosh) NUC6i5SYH. I followed the first page of this guide through the end successfully, my only problem is that I do not have ethernet working...

Concerning windows, I have purchased a bootable usb key of windows 10.
I tried to instal windows from this key on a separate ssd but did not manage (actually I do not know how to proceed) to install it in UEFI mode.
The only solution I found was to reactivate legacy boot in the bios, then pressing F10 I saw the usb key and could install windows on NTFS partition...
The problem is that the icon for booting from windows in clover does not work, the solution (not nice but works) is to quit clover then Windows starts...

Has somebody chosen this 2 separate drives (mac + windows) option, if yes is everything working for you?
Thanks for your help.

You can try to copy the USB contents to a unused folder and format the USB as FAT32 , NTFS is legacy and FAT32 makes it UEFI for me ;)

Hello all,
Thanks for this excellent guide who help me to build my hackintosh on a nuc6i5SYH, the only things who doesn't work for me is ethernet. I see no adaptor in my network pref panel. I've try the IntelMausiEthernet & the AppleIntelE1000e all versions proposed in multibeast & no one works.
If anyone of you have an idea it could be great.
Thanks.

I have had this issue, but as I remembered, IntelMausiEthernet is working for me but I had to set "Wake on LAN from S4/S5" to "Stay Off" in Intel EFI. Let us know if this setting works for you

That's what i did
I'll try re-install tomorrow
Thanks

Thanks for great posting!
I bought NUC6i5SYH and everything worked great.

One thing not worked is wake.

I have dell 4k monitor and connected using mini dp.
When I boot up, it works at 4k@60hz.

Then I click sleep it goes sleep, it wakes up while led stays blue.

When the power led turns orange which means S3 status turned on, system freezes.

I tried sleep/wake using hdmi 1.3 cable, the same thing happen.

Tried hdmi 1.4, monitor works at 4k@30Hz(it is the maximum rate for it) and sleep/wake works.

If anyone of you using DP and sleep/wake works then please reply me.

Thanks
