Sorry my ENG... google translator:crazy:

Hi guys, I cannot get my asus GTX 750 1GB card to run. When I switch to nvidia web driver & reboot it goes back to the OS X default graphic card driver. Searched and i found have to add "nvda_drv=1" in to the boot flag, but when i do this i got a black screen. Any suggestion for my case? Thanks.
I'm using this driver and OS X 10.11.4

Same exact thing is happening to me except I'm using a gtx 970

mono: Maximus VII hero with a 4790k

on el capitan 10.11.4 , iMac 14,2 , Clover r3389

config.plist is the one MultiBeast for el capitan created with an SMBIOS for 14,2

EDIT: apparently problem 4 method 1 of this solved it: http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/161256-solving-nvidia-driver-install-loading-problems.html

EDIT 2: a reboot and it stopped working, nva_drv=1 seems irrelevant, about to jump off my balcony
It works everytime I uninstall the web driver, reboot, install, reboot - tadaa! it works until next shut down... after that it always loads default drivers instead of web drivers... WHY :C

FINAL : Well guys, it's one of those "it's solved!, but I dont know why!"
In desperation, I got my install PEN with clover created with unibeast, and booted osx from there, adding the flag nva_drv=1 and it worked,I was intrigued so I restarted tried again and it worked again... so what I did is I put the flag into config.plist inside that PEN then mounted the EFI partition copied the WHOLE EFI folder to the EFI partition of the HDD and bamm it works.
So the clover that was installed in the HDD EFI part. had something wrong goin on... but I'll never know what... oh well.

yes. the final version of Yosemite is what I'm keeping indefinitely but adding security and the graphics driver updates. Im not sure if there is a newer driver for nvidia on yosi though or not eh?

Guys, I'm a little bit frustrated. It goes very smooth with my GTX960... until I reboot... then again I should use nv_disable=1 and reinstall the driver. Sometimes it helps, sometimes not. But surely something strange with nvda_drv=1. I've already update Clover, still no luck. What the hell with this driver and 10.11.4? I see not only me have this problem :banghead:

Upd.: I understand why my hackintosh is so unstable: 2 monitors are plugged (1 DVI and 1 HDMI) - 1 should be unplugged during boot (I prefer HDMI, because it's for TV) :headbang:

OS: 10.11.4
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950
Profile: Mac Pro 3,1
Ports used: 2x display ports

Experience: Occasional OS crashes, occasional squares in Diablo III. Otherwise, excellent. Very happy.

Hey,

I just installed the latest nvidia web driver. I have a Mac Pro 5,1 and a GTX980ti (with an additional GT120).

Since the latest release the fans are spinning like crazy after a couple of minutes, even in idle. Is there a way to tame them?

Hi,

I use Os X 10.11.4 El Capitan with my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960. To don't get the black screen, I use the profile iMac14,2.

I can enable the Nvidia Web driver, but when I reboot, it's come back to Os X default graphics driver.

In ECC section, my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 is there, but it's write "ECC Not Supported"

Any idea ?

thank for your help.

Please don't duplicate post in multiple threads. I have already responded to you here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/...-install-loading-problems-66.html#post1241977

I got this reply from Color Finale support because FCPX was persistently crashing:

"It seems that you are using GPU which was not sold by Apple
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960, PCIe, 2047 MB

Color Finale requires working OpenCL 1.2 driver which seems to be broken in latest Nvidia web drivers.
The crash is in the driver when Color Finale is trying to use for rendering.

Crashed Thread: 53 com.apple.helium.rq.cpu-ru7 Dispatch queue: opencl_runtime

Exception Type: EXC_CRASH (SIGABRT)
Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000
Exception Note: EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY

I suggest to use Apple native driver or different GPU."

Does this make sense to anyone? I thought the Open CL issues were fixed with this latest driver

Thanks for any info.
