Will Different DDR4 Memory Kits Cause Trouble?

I am looking to do a Skylake build based on the April 2016 Buyer's Guide but would like to use the G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2666 (PC4 21300) Memory Kit Model F4-2666C15Q-32GRKB (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231825) which is not listed under recommended memory. I am not sure how specific the requirements are for memory compatibility. Would using this memory kit cause me any trouble? Thanks!

I recommend looking on the motherboards manufacturers website and look at supported memory for the motherboard.

Hey VioletDragon, I've just ordered parts for my first build in years & hoping to make it a hackintosh. I went with 3600mhz ram (since 4000 was almost 200$ more for the same amount of mem, and my findings online say 3600 is the "sweet spot" on coffee lake).

mobo is the ROG STRIX Z370-E and chip is 8700k. Since the mobo says it supports up to 4000mhz should I be ok? what about getting m.2 support at PCIE speeds? these are the main two things I am concerned about as the rest of the process seems fairly straightforward. Can you forsee any other issues with this build?
