Hi all. Need some assistance from those more knowledgable than I about this. Blank Screen on install boot, driving me nuts.

Followed this excellent guide to try and install Yosemite on an Asus S400CA-DH51T here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/to...e-10103-on-asus-vivobook-s400c-s400ca-ca178h/

The guide is for a S400CA with a slightly different model #, but it appears the same specs. Same Vivobook, i5 , hd4000 etc.

I used his recommendations for my config plist, and also attempted to use his DSDT that was patched for the battery.

Using Clover 3389, UEFI booting- installation blank screen.

After getting a blank screen a number of times, I'm wondering if there is a subtle difference in the two models with HD4000 graphics?

Curious if someone could help me out.

I also extracted my DSDT from within a linux install, and have attached it here ( DSDT.aml )

The guide's DSDT is attached as DSDT_copy.aml.

I've also included the config.plist that I assembled from his instructions.

Also took a screenshot of my Kexts folder in clover.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. My guess is it has to do with the Intel HD4000 Graphics, and the platform id, or some other minute difference between the two machines.

Not a desktop. Moved to laptop support.

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.

and also attempted to use his DSDT that was patched for the battery.

Never a good idea to use ACPI files from another computer.

You can patch your own after installation.

Ok I have extracted the DSDT and opened with Maciasl and attempted to compile and got a bunch of errors. Should I still attempt to boot with this DSDT.aml as is? Also when I compiled I got the following file (attached). Should I use this instead to boot?

(as is I cannot get to install screen due to what I believe to be a video hd4000 issue, I was hoping that edits to the DSDT would enable me to get through to the install screen- which is why I attempted to use a similar DSDT from a vivobook)

Thanks. I was also able to apply patches from your repo and I got the install going and everything seems to be stable (ish).

Have a couple outstanding things that I'd like to address like incorrect ram issues, usb, function keys and the like.

Hopefully I'd like to compile into an install guide.

Should I include these questions in a guide, or include them somewhere else? Not sure if its better to combine questions into one post or not.

If you are at the point of writing a guide, there should be no questions...
