Same question. Does Apple Magic Keyboard works in BIOS/UEFI/Clover selection menu, so at start by using the Lightning cable?

Same question. :)

But also a follow up for the OP: How do you enter BIOS with the older wireless keyboard? I've never found a way to reproduce the "del" key on my Apple Wireless Keyboard. I can use another keyboard to trigger BIOS setup, and then the Apple keyboard works once there-- and I can use fn + f12 on the Apple keyboard to select a boot drive-- but I gave up trying to find a "del" key equivalent on the Apple wireless keyboard.

I just installed on a legacy system with EL Capitan 10.11.3, and with it plugged in via USB. At boot up, as bios is first initializing USB devices, I am able to press F8 to enter/select the boot drive, but for some reason it will not recognize the delete key to get into the bios setup.

Once bios posts and at the Clover boot screen, the keyboard appears fully functional.

I'm waiting for my bluetooth gadget to arrive, so I can test out that method of connection.

Just tested this myself... It does work with a Gigabyte z170x gaming 5 mobo - even without a bluetooth adapter. Just connect it with the usb cable and hit F2 to enter the bios...

The new magic keyboard works in BIOS/Clover if you connect it via the lightning cable and use it as a wired keyboard. It's basically a wired keyboard if you want it to be.

It also works with Bluetooth 4.0 in the BIOS depending on what Bluetooth card/Adaptor you use. Im using a official Apple WIFI/Bluetooth card on my Z77 build and my Apple Keyboard 2 works in the BIOS even the Apple Mouse.
