Hi!

I have had some problems booting my build after I downloaded the newest Nvidia Web Drivers a few days back.

Build:
GA-Z97X-UD7-TH
Intel Core i5 4690KEvga
Geforce GTX 960 4GB FTW Gaming
Corsair Vengance Pro 16GB 2400Mhz
EVGA SuperNOVA NEX750B
TP-Link TL-WDN4800
Cooler Master Seidon 120V Ver.2
120GB SSD running OS X 10.11.3

Here's what happened:

I updated my OS to 10.11.3, and downloaded latest Nvidia Driver http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/99119
I choose the web driver from the meny bar, and went into clover configurator. I had already chosen my Macbuild to be 14,2 iMac. Went to boot, and entered nvda_drv=1 (heard that this should be set automatically when you choose the web driver, but anyways). Also chose XMPDetection=Yes for my RAM. Almost running at top speed, so kinda pleased there.

I then reboot, and went into UEFI, change from internal graphics to my EVGA Geforce GTX 960 in PCIe Slot 1. Saved and exited. Plugged the HDMI to my GTX, rebooted, and came to clover bootloader. Also checked that nvda_drv=1 was typed in. When I then try too boot into OSX, I just get the prohibited sign up. Tried running verbose mode, but gets:

OsxAptioFixDrv: Starting overrides for System/Library/CoreServices/boot.efi
Using relic block: no, hibernate wake: no
Error allocating 0x1c6c3 pages at 0x0000000009bfa000 alloc type 2
Couldn't allocate runtime area
Boot failed, sleeping for 10 seconds before exiting

Get this if I try entering recovery HD in verbose:

OsxAptioFixDrv: Starting overrides for comapple.recovery.boot/boot.fi
Using relic block: no, hibernate wake: no
ERROR!!! Recovery Image verification fail with status [0x800000000000000e]
Error allocating 0x800 pages at 0x00000000015c00000 alloc type 2
Error leading kernel cache (0x9)
Boot failed, sleeping for 10 seconds before exiting

Tried "UseKernelCache=Yes" on recovery HD, and got:

OsxAptioFixDrv: Starting overrides for comapple.recovery.boot/boot.fi
Using relic block: no, hibernate wake: no
ERROR!!! Recovery Image verification fail with status [0x800000000000000e]
Error allocating 0x46b3 pages at 0x000000000186700000 alloc type 2
Error leading kernel cache (0x9)
Boot failed, sleeping for 10 seconds before exiting

I have tried entering dart=0 (heard that this is necessary for OS X 10.11.3 to work properly?). Neither Safe mode or single user mode helps. Have also tried to turn "inject intel" on/off. Inject Nvidia is turned off.

Saw that someone had similar problems, and changed OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi in EFI-partition withOsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi. Last one was set as default on my build.
(EFI -> EFI -> CLOVER -> drivers64UEFI -> OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi)

Have tried flashing my UEFI BIOS, reinstalling my system, and start from scratch but that did not help.

These are my extensions in /library/extensions

Would appreciate any help!

Followed "Big list of solutions for El Capitan install problems".

These categories seemed to fix my problem!

- Boot freezes on Apple logo, verbose shows only 2-3 lines

- Boot fails with Error allocating 0x#### pages at 0x####... alloc type 2

The fans on my EVGA GTX960 doesn't spin (except under boot), but I read some places that they won't unless the temperature starts hitting high. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks in advance.

Most 900 series cards use semi passive cooling, so yes the fans won't spin until the GPU reaches roughly 55-60C. And, they will stop once the temp drops back down.

Did you ever solve this? i can't get to El Cap on this board using internal or pci graphics card..

Hello,
I've got the same pb here...
have you found any solution?

Try disabling your igp
