Guide to Installing Snow Leopard on HP Probook

First boot to install 10.6 I downloaded iBoot as per guide and hit F5 at chimera bootloader then boot with -v and it kernel panicked to VoodooPS2.kext. I'll provide screenshot as soon as I get back home from work.

Hi RehabMan. I ran the Probook installer to install the necessary kexts. But got kernel panic when trying to boot with Clover. Heres the Screenshot. If i boot with -v it just Reboots.

Did you remember to use UpdateHelper after running the 10.6.8 combo update, but before rebooting?

I ran it before running the 10.6.8 Combo update as requested. Rebooted then Ran the 10.6.8 Combo update.

Ok. Good.

Now reading what you wrote more carefully... The problem must be in your Clover config. Your post here is off-topic... This guide does not use Clover.

Make sure you're not double-applying patches. For example, PBI installs patched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext, but your Clover setup probably tries to patch it as well. Applying patches on an already patched kext... not a good idea.

You should restore various system kexts (that were patched by PBI) to vanilla before attempting to boot with Clover.

Also note that to boot with Clover, you need to inject the correct AAPL,os-info. See my ACPI patches, my Clover guide plists, etc. The info you need for AAPL,os-info is there.

Ill Create a new thread. And yes AppleIntelCPUpowermanagement.kext was replaced with the patched one ill save kexts and but not modify the AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement.kext thanks. Graphics is being injected by DSDT i remember. Ill do a clean install.

By default, my patches do not inject AAPL,os-info (it is needed only by SL).

As in Screenshot i added Single link because how ever i booted in any other version of OS X i kept getting a black screen and that was the only thing which would solve it. Ive added AAPL,os-info from what it looks like.
