So i'm basically screwed lol :(

jclusso,
I have been out of action for a couple of days due to dental surgery.
As soon as I'm feeling up to it, I am going to take another look at our setups and my notes to make sure that I didn't miss anything. I would really like for you to get your 950 Pro drive working properly.

Awesome! I appreciate all of your help.

So does anyone know if any development is still going on for this driver? With the Hack running, it just runs great, and performance is great too, but sleep and shutdown/restart (/logoff too, with me) do cast some shadow on it. Though I'm still absolutely thankful for this driver having been written, at all.

On a sidenote, I observed logging off before shutting down or restarting increases the chances for a succesful shutdown/restart, just as closing applications before logging off improve chances of that going right (doing that it always does, with me) and that restarts *seem* to KP more often than shutdowns. Anyone notice the same? :p

I just bought my Samsung SSD 950 Pro 256GB, with a Delock PCI-E to m.2 adapter. (Installed on PCIex4 slot.
The system is up and runnin, nevertheless so far the UEFI Boot did not work. (I booted from the EFI in the old SSD.)

Thank you for the guides! Has anyone figured a way of changing the disk from external to internal?

Tests look like this.

Bests,

I am trying a 950 on a pcie3 4x slot card. Used super duper to copy the entire drive, tried installing from usb and tried installing from the el capitan install from inside the OS X using the other boot drive.

I get the stop symbol everytime.

When trying to do the disk speed test from the OS X, it says that the drive is a read only. In the get info screen, it says read/write.

I am still trying all the different settings in the bios. I tried the nvme kext.

Just posting my attempts and progress.

I use this kext and m.2 as boot drive.
There are a few issues for me.

Asus H97/Z97i-PLUS: Shutdown-reboot problem (every now and then)
Asrock x99e-itx: Shutdown panic (every time)

All run good with normal AHCI SSD boot drive.

And this kext seems to affect the loading of the stock bluetooth kext, but can be fixed. Just not work fine out of box.

I have the same problem with Black Magic Disk Speed Test. The workaround is to select a folder on your 950 drive rather than just selecting the root level of the drive.

Hi jclusso,
Have you found a fix for your "wake from sleep"problem with the 950 Pro drive?
If no, then I will take another look at our systems and see if I can spot anything that I'm doing different from you.
