Hi folks. For those still looking for a good, fast and cheap internal audio card I'm here to confirm the ESI Maya 44 XTe (PCI express) works:thumbup: I'm running El Capitan 10.11.2 and the driver I've found on ESI Audio website is quite outdated (2013) but it works fine, the card shows up normally in system profiler and all the 4 inputs and 4 outputs are listed. There's also a little app to configure the card, it works too but a little bug with graphics (not showing faders level bar) but all functions e.g. sample rate, routing, mute, level are OK. Apple Audio Midi configuration's app sees the card and all options are available. I'm using this audio card mainly for Guitar Rig5 in my headphones, lot of fun and extremely low latency, I can change sample rate on-the-fly no need to restart the application, changes take place instantly and audio quality is very good. For what I payed for I'm very satisfied:mrgreen: Look at the attachement, less than 10 milliseconds for the COMPLETE ROUND TRIP, processing time is ridiculous less than ONE millisecond, 96Khz sampling rate and only 64 samples buffer neither glitches nor stuttering, good job ESI Audio:clap:

Edit graphic level bar(s) works opening the app in 32bit mode

Thanks for the post. My ALC892 sound is completely buggy on 10.11.2. May have to try this.

This is indeed good news. I gave up on my M-Audio Delta 1010LT. I have been eyeing the Maya44 XTe for a while, but bought an M-Audio Quad (USB) instead. I can't say I'm extremely satisfied. The Quad has a few annoyances. Such as the line outs are only adjustable on channels 1 & 2. 3 & 4 are set to O DBFS. There are no software controls at all, the box has all the faders and switches. It was never meant to be a regular sound card, instead it's more for the musician recording vocals and instruments, so I guess I should not complain. I think I will spring for a Maya44 and sell the Quad.........again, thanks for the post!

Yes. I confirm on Maya 44 XTe signal routing can manage the 4 ouputs as you wish, moreover there's an option to sum 2 outputs into the other 2 and vice-versa, there are 4 sliders in the control panel to adjust this mixing and it works very nice.

Did you already have native audio working for your Hack? I have just recently gotten mine working (last night to be exact) and I haven't yet gotten my audio working. I have seen the tutorial on how to install native audio (https://github.com/toleda/audio_ALC_guides/blob/master/Restore native AppleHDA [Guide].pdf), but I have been stuck on some of the beginning steps.

I wanted to know if you think that getting this audio card will as an alternative to setting up native audio.

Well, my native audio is working using Toleda guide, Voodoo 2.7 and above it works too. So if you're planning to use audio just for some daily apps (e.g. Youtube or listening your music CDs) it will be enough but if you use your machine for multitrack audio recording or amp simulator ecc. it won't. Built in audio sucks for quality, to my audiophile ears it's really horrible and latency is way way too much, plus that noise hiss everytime you move the mouse pointer or open a window....very bad. A good audio card it's mandatory if you want make music and listen some good quality sound, built in audio chip is not capable of it and there's really no driver that can make a crappy audio chip to sound like a good audio card.

What happens if you don't install the drivers? it won't work?

I am using MacOS sierra, would you **PLEASE*** let me know if this works on sierra?

Audio is DIFFICULT in Hackintosh, therefore, I am looking for a simple (almost plug and play solution), so that I will be able to easily upgrade versions of Apple in the future.

I confirm the card works fine on Sierra.

I confirm the card works fine on Sierra.

great, I'm definitively going to buy it.
Just one question though, if I do not install the drivers, then will I still have basic functionality?

Essentially I just want an audio out (3.5mm) for my basic speakers.

Where do I download the drivers?
