Hi,

yesterday I upgraded my well working Asus Laptop (Hackintosh) with more RAM and a Samsung Evo 850 SSD (more mA than old hd). I tried to install El Capitan with the same USB I used in the past and I am getting this error:

OsxAptioFixDrv: Starting overrides for System\Library\CoreServices\boot.efi
Using reloc block: no, hibernate wake: no
Error allocating 0x121 pages at 0x000000000ff46000 alloc type 2
Error loading kernel cache (0x9)
Boot failed, sleeping for 10 seconds before exiting...

There are people having this error but they all have nvidia graphics.

Since it worked before, either the RAM or the SSD is the problem.

ps: Windows is running fine, recognizes the RAM and the ssd

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.

The guide does not involve using a VM. Follow the guide on real hardware.

Virtual box error, used older version. Writing from working El Capitan on SSD now :D
Thank you for the guide!

What exactly helped you in the guide? I did read that, too, and all I found is that it says that I need different drivers, with a link to https://clover-wiki.zetam.org/What-is-what#efi-drivers - but that only lists the drivers. How did you actually choose another driver, and which one solved it for you?

I had tried Clover Configurator.app to switch in either of the three OsxAptio...Drv.efi variants (btw, the clover FAQ is outdated on this point), but none helped.
