Hi ersterhernd

Excellent thanks!

I've identified the culprit of my issues: the bluetooth from the Atheros combo card was causing the installer to hang.
I need to mask the bluetooth pins again

Cheers

Both my 20" iMacs (A1145 and A1076) are updated to 10.11.1 El Capitan. No issues, the Clover bootloader in each system had to be updated to the latest for compatibility with the new release of OS X.

Fortunately it worked for me first try. Great to have the systems now running as smooth as did in 10.10 over the last year.

Hi

i ve got 2 imac g5's. The first one is the a1076 and the second one is the a1145. I want to use the imacs as external displays for my g5 hackintosh.
Is it possible to use the original TMDS cable?

Yes it is. Its been done several times on this forum.

You can see one of my implementations here...

Kiwi did the first tutorial on it a while back, it was excellent.

The power supply and inverter would of course need to be retained for the backlights to function properly, and you'd need to fashion your own brightness control. Kiwi and MacTester perfected a masterful software/hardware version of that, and I used a simpler sliding potentiometer in my A1076 builds.

Not what I would call an easy project, but certainly do-able if planned out properly.

Cheers!
