OS X 10.11.2 Update

X58, Xeon 5650 OC, Clover -- direct update, went smoothly on my test drive.

For the record I've got MacPro 5,1 and Clover installed in Legacy mode. It's early days, but seems fine.

Update using the Combo updater worked well:

Bluetooth
Sound
USB 3.0 (configured using Rehabman's kexts)
Trim

... all survived the update and work as before except -

System Definition: iMac 14,2

Curious video playback problem - scrambled, multicolour mini-blocks, sound fine. Tried installing Nvidia Web Drivers but persisting - even though a GT740 should be fully native etc.

Changed System Definition to Mac Pro 3,1 and video is back ...

Removed EVGA GT740 graphics card, reset to system definition 14,2 and all is running sweetly again

Using clover and nVidia graphic card.
Update done successfully.

I can do it in APP Store directly.

My Hardware and settings are as belows

- iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014)
- Processor : i7-4790
- Graphic : Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 2GB
- MainBoard : ASUS H97 Pro Gamer

If you click the update button, you can see xx minutes remains status bar in black screen.
And the system stops in Restarting....

But don't get panic. I just pushed reset button and the system boot normally.
When system is up, the Nvidia Web driver is disabled automatically.
You can update the web driver using Web Driver preferences.

After finishing install the new driver for OS X 10.11.2, reboot it.

Finally, You can see all fine.

Patching Audio with Toledo's tool, FakePCIID from Rehabman.
Update from 10.11.1 to 10.11.2 directly from MAS.
No issue.

I updated both, Rock and Cider.

Rock, no trouble.

Cider, no trouble,....
.....except the kext for the Ati HD 5450 stopped working and when I reapplied the old kext, the computer restarted, so I had to boot with -x.

Fixed the graphic card with FakeID in Clover.


All is swell.
