No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

OK. Codec is not enabled, no audio until you see DPCIManager/Status/Codec ID

Ok...er, does this mean I must use a DSDT then? And if so, any idea how that other guy got his audio working with your script - on a board identical to mine - without a DSDT?

Thanks so much for your help (and patience)!

Hi , I have problems with my audio ask for your help because I do not know how to solve it .
My audio device is alc270 , used the Mirone the app to apply the patch , the problem is that the headphone audio is okay , but does not recognize the speaker , but if I reverse the outputs in platforms.xml , have audio in the speaker more does not recognize the headphones do not know if this information helps , but and this way I have the audio speaker ..

Os is Mavericks, and i use clover bootloader with DSDT..

Follow the attachments ..

Tks...

  1. Description of audio problem: No output devices, no sound, double audio device shown in DCIPManager (One has a valid Codec and the other one with same id a NULL one) [this screenshot was taken as soon as I installed the OS, but remains the same after trying everything] Screen Shot 2015-12-04 at 00.35.01.png
  2. OS X version/motherboard model/BIOS version/processor/graphics: El Capitan 11.1.1/P67 Asus Maximus IV Extreme /3604/Intel Sandy Bridge 2600K/NVIDIA GTX 680

  8. Clover (if installed)

    2. EFI/CLOVER/misc/debug.log (Set config.plist/Boot/Debug/YES): There's no "Debug", instead there's a "Log" section. It was already set to yes, and misc folder is empty.
      1. or DPCIManager/Misc/Boot Log

Enable the codec.

Ok...how? A setting in Clover perhaps? (In Clover Configurator I see Devices->Audio is blank; should I enter something there before trying anything else?)

I followed your troubleshooting steps in post #1:

1. OS X Version (running 10.10.3)
2. 10.10 and newer/Boot flags
1. Clover/config.plist
1. Mandatory Add: config.plist/Boot/Arguments/kext-dev-mode=1 *done* according to Clover Configurator
2. Remove: Boot/Arguments/npci=0x3000 *done* according to Clover Configurator
2. HDEF Verification/IORegistryExplorer
1. IOReg/Search: HDEF - I see AppleACPIPlatformExpert/PCI0@0/AppleACPIPCI/HDEF@1B
2. If IOReg/HDEF present, see 3. Audio_ID verification
3. Audio_ID verification/IORegistryExplorer
1. Search: HDEF
2. IOReg/HDEF/layout-id = hex(Audio ID)
3. Locate: layout-id
4. Verify layout-id: - I see <00 00 00 00>
4. Not valid (<00 00 00 00>), select one method and implement
4. [Guide]-Add HDEF-Clover.pdf (this is what I want, right?)

[Guide]-Add HDEF-Clover.pdf:
I. IOReg/HDEF Verification
A. IOReg/Search: HDEF - yes it's present, already did this above
B. If IOReg/HDEF present, see II. IOReg/Audio_ID verification
II. IOReg/Audio_ID verification
A. Search: HDEF
B. Locate: layout-id
C. Verify layout-id: - obviously I still see <00 00 00 00>...
- <00 00 00 00> not valid - ok what now??? I’m pretty sure my motherboard uses Audio_ID 1, but this is saying not valid…Should I proceed with step IV and enter "1" anyway even though this says not valid? What step did I miss?

tried many different configurations, with no luck.
See Post #1/I. No Output Devices Found/2. HDEF Verification/IORegistryExplorer/3. If no IOReg/HDEF:1. IOReg/Search: @1B
2. Add dsdt/HDEF

No output devices, no sound, double audio device shown in DCIPManager (One has a valid Codec and the other one with same id a NULL one)
