I've started again, and seem to have made a bit of progress this time. I'm getting stuck at the reboot stage, after doing every step, but at least now I am getting the clover screen and able to choose my HDD... it still won't boot however (though will boot from the usb).

I've attached a screen grab from the verbose mode screen (it hangs here forever and the cpu fan goes high speed).

I also get several errors when running the audio patch, I though this might shed some light on the problems I'm having?

For clarity, I'm using Tonymac's config.plist from the first post, nullcpumanagement kext in the relevant folder, the correct DSDT in ACPI/Patched (do I need and SSDT too with a reference in my config.plist?).

Thanks guys!

Any thoughts team?

Blue artifact problem had been bothering my head through two weeks.
At last, used this setting, it seems to be over.

Thanks a lot!

My environment is
i5 2405s
GA-H67N-USB3
DSDT (GA-H61N-USB3 F9 HDMI)
kext and clover are on Tony's Post Intall pkg.
OSX 10.11.1
USB 3.0 additional board is KT 4006
*Sometimes OS gets lost USB devices on this board. I think it is a known issue affected by an USB power save feature on 10.11.x.

Any thoughts team?

Do you use "Legacy Root" clover on Tony's post installation pkg?
If not, Ideally, I think you should format all partitions and re-install for removing any other clover.
I had met with this problem, I guess...

I did, which got me further than before he provided this guide.

Success!

If in doubt, go back to beginning

Now I just need a SSDT for my processor and working sound.

Am I right in thinking tonymac's config is for hdmi audio?

Thanks all!

I am following this thread as I have this CustoMac Mini 2011 but I have not started yet to upgrade to EC.

I also have a GA-H67MA-USB3-B3 and I am stuck at booting with clover and a multi disk environement.

I know the only lonk with this thread is to try using an old Gigabyte H67 mobo using legacy boot for Clover, but would someone be kind to have a look at http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...l-capitan-legacy-boot-clover-not-working.html to help me ?

Thanks

One question on clover install: when you choose ESP as the target, you install all the EFI folders in the EFI partition itself. If you do not check this, where are the files stored ?

Okay, so now it's clear that the Legacy Root method and Multibeast 8.0 will not work with these old 6 series Motherboards.

This guide has got my system running with two issues.

1- I have no sound. The ALC patch from the main guide runs, but upon reboot nothing appears to have happened. Also, Tonymac's DSDT from the guide seems to be for HDMI audio - how should I edit the Config.plist to use standard audio out of the green mini jack?

2- I can't get an SSDT working, while the system works, performance is rather stunted. I used the guide on the main page but once I had placed the SSDT in the ACPI patched folder and removed the Nullcpupowermanagement kext the same old kernel panics returned.

How should I edit the config.plist to reference the SSDT? Should I disable things like dropOem?

Could I use the 3.9 SSDT from Multibeast 8.0 manually in some way?

Nearly there!

If it's any use, I could only get the ALC patch working after I installed the 10.10.1 supplemental update. You should post your output from ALC patch.
I used ssdtPRGen.sh master to get an ssdt for power management;

Appreciate I have a different board, but it''s 6 series nonetheless with the same challenges ;)

I will have a look at the ALC patch again, when time allows. I'll post again with the results. I still suspect my config.plist needs a bit of editing to get it working. Tony's config off the front page seems to be enabled for HDMI.

I worked through that SSDT guide, but didn't get many states. I think my main query is, how do I reference it in the config.plist? I know I can use the 3.9 SSDT happily, but it's still not clear to me how to reference it in ACPI/patched so that I can remove nullcpupowermanagement.kext and avoid those blasted kernel panics on startup :)

Thanks!

Updated top post with MultiBeast settings. No need for Legacy Mode - Root Clover install if you disable USB 3.0 in BIOS.
