[Guide] El Capitan on the Intel Broadwell NUC

I'm still having issues with my upgrade from yosemite to elcap on my NUC5i5RYH (HD6000/i5-5250U)

I ran the installer, and I can boot into the ElCap install using the multibeast USB, but the graphics are broken (flashing/laggy). I use all the instructions perfectly including the SSDTs and the plist provided.

When I boot without the USB, it hangs at the progress bar at 100%, -v shows that there are valid [IGPU] messages

I have to have HFSplus.efi in my driver64UEFI folder in order to see my osx install when I boot without the multibeast USB....

I think at this point I will delet all folders from the EFI partition and start over...

Sosurim, can you post your complete EFI?

Thanks!

Hi ammulder,

Thanks for the guide - first time i have done a hackintosh install without having to spend hours dicking around sorting out post-install problems....
Apart from having to boot off the USB stick a couple of times to get rid of the white circle with line through, the install went without any problems on a 5i3ryk.

Did clearing out the EFI folder work for you? I am having the same issue with my NUC5i7RYH. Everything went smooth with install but the final boot without the USB hang at 100%.

Open to suggestions if anyone has any.

Cheers!

Hello Ammulder
I think if the dock solid gray then there is no QE activated.
The redraw of Launcher/other folders takes 25 sec.

The dock and launcher work OK on my NUC5i3MYHE, which also has the HD 5500 graphics. It's on 10.11.1 right now. Make sure you have the SSDT.aml and SSDT-1.aml for the i3 in EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/ on the EFI partition of your system drive.
