installing new graphics card and need advice

Hi Everyone,
i have a pretty badass system i built about 9 months ago that has been working beautifully, currently running OS X 10.10.3 (originally built w/ 10.10.1 and upgraded once to 10.10.3) - here are the specs...

- MSI Micro ATX DDR3 2600 LGA 1150 Z97M GAMING
- Intel Core i7-4790K Quad-Core 4.0 Ghz Processor (LGA 1155, HD Graphics 4600)
- 32GB Kingston Fury RAM (4 x 8) - 1866Mhz
- Crucial 256GB 2.5" SSD
- Corsair CS 550w power supply

as i said, it has been working great for the past 9 months using just the internal graphics. i've been using it to power an LG 34UM95 34" ultra-widescreen (3440 x 1440).

so NOW i just bought a graphics card for it...

EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti SC 2GB GDDR5

and here are the questions...

what do i have to do other than the physical installation?
should this work right out of the box w/ NVIDIA drivers that are already in OS X?
will i need to download new drivers and install?
do i need to make any adjustments w/ MultiBeast?

Will need Nvidia Web Drivers (best before installing the card). You'll have to update them after every OS X update.
Personally I'd recommend a (used?) Kepler-based GPU which works OOB, e.g. GTX 760.

OK fl0rian, thanks for the answers - here's some more questions...

but if the necessary drivers are indeed included w/ OS X, wouldn't they be updated w/ each OS X update? this leads me to believe that what you're saying is that the necessary NVIDIA drivers ARE NOT included w/ OS X (Yosemite), and that it ALL has to be done manually, is that correct?

also - too late to choose a different card, already bought the one mentioned. ;-)

There are drivers for Nvidia in OS X but they do not support Maxwell GPUs so you must use the Nvidia web drivers. Each OS X update will disable the web drivers so you have to wait until Nvidia releases new ones before updating OS X.

thanks for explaining that to me - so - i guess i need to do 2 installs then? ...
1 - the CUDADriver.pkg
2 - and one for my specific card and/or OS version?

how do i find out which one i need for the 2nd item above?

Your EVGA installation is similar to my Gigabyte GTX 750 Ti. See my installation guide in my signature block for the installation procedures. However, unless you upgrade to 10.10.5 first, you'll need earlier drivers for 10.10.3. See this site for the correct driver for your version of Yosemite: http://www.macvidcards.com/which-driver-should-i-install-for-my-new-gpu.html.
