Hi,
I installed Mavericks succesfully. I rebooted (before using hp pro book installer)and i get a vram of 1024 MB. Then i use the
probook installer. Then when i reboot i get 512 MB of Vram. Is there a way to keep my 1024 MB?

I notice you're posting this in the Mountain Lion forum. Did you use the correct version of the ProBook Installer (for Mavericks, currently 6.1.10)?

Also, you should post your question in the appropriate forum.

I'm thinking about one of these, can someone confirm that the 1600x900 screen is fully supported in the latest incarnations of OSX El Capitan and Probook installer?

Is there another 17" laptop I should also consider, maybe one with 1080p?

Regards, Pete

I looked through the guide (and used it on my 4540s) but I see no mention of 1600x900 resolution (it's not a native Mac size?) but I know there is an option for "high resolution" screens in PBI, do I need to use that option (or is that for 1080p only?). Can I use 1600x900 or do I have to use a Mac supported resolution? If so, how do I achieve it? Bottom line, is 1600x900 OK/possible/need extra work?

Regards, Pete

Hi!
Is anybody here?
Maybe somebody has a step-by-step guide for create USB-stick for install OSX on 4740s?
Maybe somebody has a "ready-to-go" image file with HP Probook Installer Clover Edition+osx installer?
Maybe there are other installation methods now?

Thanx!
