thanks rehabman but I indeed put the FakePCIID_BCM94352Z_as_BCM94360CS2 and the BrcmPatchRAM2 in the Colver Kexts but it is not working

BrcmPatchRAM2.kext requires one of BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext or BrcmFirmwareData.kext.

BrcmFirmwareRepo does not work from Clover/kexts.
BrcmFirmwareData does, but is rather large.

It is covered in the README: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-BrcmPatchRAM

That's what I did. Strange Thing is that Kernel Panic complains about brcm43224 ?

Ok , from the beginning : my 10.11 is working ( using usb wifi) and original Intel card recognized as a Bluetooth card. But after replacing the wifi card with the dw1560 , and adding fakeiid_bcm / brcmpatchram2 / brcmfirmwaredata and booting in safe mode I got a kernel panic which is supposingly airport_brcm43224 the culprit

Use BrcmPatchRAM2.kext+BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext installed to /S/L/E.

Also, no idea without photo of the panic.

Injecting large kexts can be problematic, especially if you're injecting many other kexts. BrcmFirmwareData.kext is 2.5MB. There are alternatives (injector kext+BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext with Resources removed) that are described in the BrcmPatchRAM README.

Sorry ,my mistake!! I found out why I got Kernel Panic: I put the Kexts into the /Kexts/Other directory , that was causing the kernel panic. Now wifi working ,bluetooth isn't. At least some good news!
Thanks Rehabman for your help!

I prefer to install all kexts to /S/L/E (or /L/E).

Hey,

I´m trying to install OS X 10.11 on my UX303LAB

I have trouble starting up from my USB Stick.

When using OSXAptioFixDrv i get an Error: request memory exceeds allocated relocation block
When switching to OSXAptioFixDrv2 the error disappears but the system keeps restarting without any further information. Using the Bootflag slide=0 doesn´t fix it.

Question: When I am supposed to switch the Wifi Card. I got myself a DW1560 BCM94352Z. I´d like to switch it after installing El Capitan, or is this causing the restarting?

I already installed El Capitan on my Desktop PC but I am quite unexperienced with working with SSDTs and DSDT. Do I have to put these into the "Kernel and kext Patches" in Cover Configurator or is it enough to place them in the patched folder?

thank you very much in advance!a.jpg

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.

You can switch right away.

I have mayor problems getting my Laptop to start with clover.

I'm getting the Kernel Panic Error AppleACPIPlatform, googling this code did not help. The only post I found was about deleting the appleacpiplatform.kext in Extra/Extensions, but I can not find this folder in my stick. Is it for chameleon?

I used the createinstallmedia method to install El Capitan to my stick.
Editing the dsdt and ssdts worked like a charm.

Mayme my config is wrong? I tried multiple versions including the one from Mechanical working my way from there but it did not help. Or is it the i7?!

Here is my current config.plist

Here is a list of the kexts i use in kexts/10.11:

  • ACPIBacklight.kext
  • ACPIBatteryManager.kext
  • ApplePS2SmartTouchPad.kext
  • AsusNBFnKeys.kext
  • BrcmFirmwareData.kext
  • BrcmPatchRAM2.kext
  • FakePCIID.kext
  • FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext
  • FakeSMC.kext

I don't know if the kexts have anything to do with it because the panic occurs so early. I thought about switching BrcmFirmwaredata for BrcmFirmwareRepo but before that I wanted to contact you.

Here is a list of the efis I use:
  • CsmVideoDxe-64
  • DataHubDxe-64
  • DataHubDxe-64
  • HFSPlus
  • OsxAptioFix2Drv-64
  • OsxAptioFixDrv-64
  • OsxFatBinaryDrv-64
  • PartitionDxe-64
dropping the OsXAptioFix2drv causes an allocation error.

Help is very much appreciated, I am lost :(

p.s: thank you for your awesome work! You guys rock.
