Tip for NO sound (Realtek ALC1150 and others) gigabyte z97 ud5, all i did was right click on multibeast for yosemite. select show package contents then open contents folder and in resources folder find (AppleHDA-1150.pkg) and run it. once installed reboot goto system preference and select SOUND and in the output menu select "internal speakers built in. This worked for me and should work for most Realtek ALC1150 motherboards and also other motherboard types by selecting the correct package. To keep sound working after waking from sleep i use the Reset AppleHDA app. ps might be worth posting this in the El Capitan BIG fix list, good luck!

After successful installation with a GPT formatted Unibeast USB, I get boot0af error when I try to boot from the SSD I installed El Capitan on.

I have read about boot0af error when trying to boot from the Unibeast USB, but that is not my problem. I get the boot0af error when I try to boot from the SSD with the finished installation on it.

Now I am able to boot into my SSD install by booting from the Unibeast USB, but maybe somebody has found a fix for this particular boot0af problem.

I have a legacy BIOS board by the way, so of course I installed with 'legacy clover'.

Did you run the Essentials package in the post install download?

My problem: "Install reboots or completes but El Capitan drive does not appear as a boot option in the Clover menu".

I've carried out the initial installation repeatedly, tried fixing BIOS settings, and still cannot come up with the El Capitan boot option after the install; when I choose "USB", of course I just go back to a repeat of the initial install. (Not a Legany install: I've used UEFI, given my MB.)

I also put together a bootable external drive with 10.10, using my MacPro laptop, firewired it to my desktop, then tried Unibeast to install 10.11 on the external drive. Same problem: could complete initial install but no option to reboot with El Capitan. In setting up this drive, I installed the Clover v2 recommended package.

After my first failure, I've used my laptop to build the Unibeast boot USBs, which has worked fine in getting me into the initial OS install.

I have no access to my internal system drive. In my rush I didn't backup, as I should have.

After many hours, I cannot think of what else I might do. Replace my system internal HD and start over? My knowledge of all this is modest., so if you have suggestions, please spell them out.

Help needed and greatly appreciated!!

Installation of El Capitan using Clover is a 2 stage process. Boot the USB drive to get to Clover screen first time you see only USB icon hi-lited. Hit enter, boots OS X installer, select language, get to installation screen, select utilities->disk utility and format drive. Exit disk utility, click on install.

Installer screen comes up, says 17 minutes to complete. When if finishes, it reboots. Use function hotkey to select UniBeast USB to boot. Back at Clover selection screen, select the UniBeast icon USB again and hit enter, OS X install screen comes up again, click on Continue, agree to EULA, etc., second part of install starts, 24 minutes to complete.

This time when it reboots, boot with UniBeast again and you should see an El Cap icon (whatever you named your drive in disk utility). Select this icon and hit enter. Should take you to the first user set-up screens and then to desktop.

Hello, I'm having an issue trying to boot into the installer, I have a fully working Yosemite install with clover as a boot loader.

So far i've tried a lot of stuff with no success, first I wanted to do an direct upgrade from the El capital app, so I updated clover, installed the app and on reboot when I choose boot into el capital installer it won't boot, after removing kexts, adding kexts, with or without fakesmc, different flags, etc I gave up and prepared a usb installer.
The installer can boot into yosemite just fine and finds both the install partition on the usb itself and the one in the ssd, but it won't boot into any of them, whichever I choose all usb power goes down and it freezes, I tried different ports and xhci modes, uefi and non uefi boot, different osxaptio and can not find which setting works, they ALL work for the already installed Yosemite but none can get into any of the el capital installers...

My mobo is a Sabertooth Z77, i7 3770k, gtx 650ti

this is what i get on verbose mode: (sorry for the file size)

Yes I did and the install was successful. I have done it again just to be sure but still..... Boot0af error upon booting the installed ssd.

Upgrade from Yosemite/Chimera to El Capitan/Clover went without major issues, everything works incl. iMessage and BT (Acer Aspire 7720G).
All I had to do is to add Voodoo kext for internal keyboard and trackpad.
Thanks for guides and tools!

EDIT: It was too soon to post this.
I just found out that I can only boot my HDD OS from USB Unibeast stick. When booting directly from HDD I get "No bootable device Insert boot disk and press any key" error.
I have a legacy BIOS and use Legacy mode.

Before installing El Capitan I had no problem booting Yosemite with the same version of Clover.

I've noticed that the HDD is GPT and USB is MBR. Can this be the issue?
