My Etron EJ168A works natively. It sat unused for years. I popped it after a clean install and it worked! It's so much faster than my the built in ports in my board.

Just did a test install, the USB 3 chip in my Z68X-UD3H-B3 (Etron EJ168) does indeed seem to work natively in El Capitan !

Have noticed on the Z87-UD3H that the USB ports goes thru Renesas?
Chipset:
1Up to 2 USB 3.0/2.0 ports (available through the internal USB header)
2Up to 6 USB 2.0/1.1 ports (available through the internal USB headers)
Chipset + 2 Renesas® uPD720210 USB 3.0 Hubs:
1Up to 8 USB 3.0/2.0 ports (6 ports on the back panel, 2 ports available through the internal USB header)

@RehabMan

Hi, I wonder if you can help? I am unsure if USB 3.0 is working on my GA-Z87-HD3, I attach a screenshot of the output from System Report. I attached an external hard drive which is the "USB to ATA/ATAPI Bridge" entry under USB 3.0 in the report so it shows up. The thing that I am trying to clarify is with Yosemite I would see "Hi Speed" and "Super Speed Bus" in the USB device tree and I don't see them now.

Can you tell from this info alone if USB 3.0 is OK for me or would you need io reg?

I appreciate any advice, still learning and reading this thread takes me way outside my skill set!

Thanks.

@RehabMan

thank you very much, I succeeds in changing the dsdt and the recompiled and all USB 2.0 ports are working again
I also tested on a TH Z77X-UP5 internal USB port was not working and it works again, it would put this in the guides need to change the DSDT El Capitain

find EHC1, replace EH01 (all). Find EHC2, replace EH02 (all). Compiled ACPI 4.0

AFAIK, no solution for Renasas USB3 on 10.11.
