With SIP disabled I have edited the plist within the AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy kext within AppleGraphicsControl.kext to enable video output on iMac15,1 SMBIOS. While this works in Yosemite I can't figure out a way to update the kextcache including the edited kext as El Cap refuses to include it saying it is unsigned and that untrusted kexts are not allowed.

Any way to do a plist edit and allow the kext to load?

kext-dev-mode=1 ?

Yes but that won't work here. The OS now won't allow any modifications resulting in an untrusted kext even with SIP disabled and dev mode 1 in clover.

try these in terminal

sudo chown -R root:wheel (drag ur kext here from the extension folder )

sudo touch (drag the EXTENSIONS folder)

kext-dev-mode=1 ?
Starting with OS X 10.10 Yosemite, in order to load unsigned kexts the user had to pass the boot flag kext-dev-mode=1. As of OS X 10.11 El Capitan, that option is not available anymore.

Thus will any plist edits of any apple kext automatically render it invalid in OS X 10.11?

Sorry, I didn't know that.
