Guide To Install Yosemite on HP Laptops with Clover UEFI

Hey guys , to update to El Capitan, we need to download the whole os ? (6GB)

cause i dont have notification to update on App Store ?
Make sure you removed BrcmPatchRAM in /S/L/E. It's mentioned in El Capitan thread.

If you have the latest version, no need to remove it, provided the PBI-CE deletes it upon running PBI-CE after installing 10.11. PBI-CE should delete BrcmPatchRAM.kext and install BrcmPatchRAM2.kext and BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext.

If you're not sure what you have, delete it.

Always make sure you don't have both installed, as that is a bit difficult to recover from (involves single user mode).

How about HSSDBlockStorage.kext ? its a kext for SSD users ? can i delete it ?

Hi RehabMan, thanks a lot. The display is back after I press bright up key (F10 key) and get sound back as well.
OK no worries about the wifi adapter, I couldn't find the internal wifi adapter as mentioned in post #1. So I stick with usb wifi adapter, D-Link DWA 131-E. Working good so far.
But I just got problem with Sleep anyway, I got this error message:
"
Date/Time: 2015-10-01 07:30:36 +0800
OS Version: 10.10.5 (Build 14F27)
Architecture: x86_64
Report Version: 21

Event: Sleep Wake Failure
Steps: 10

Hardware model: MacBookPro8,1
Active cpus: 4"

No need to delete any of that stuff...

USB WiFi not recommended. It is known to cause instability, especially with sleep.

WiFi card recommendations are in post #1.

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

System: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
Mobo: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Sorry but I'm confused about new update in BrcmPatchRAM. What's the use of BrcmFirmwareData and BrcmFirmwareRepo? Should I install it along with BrcmPatchRAM or BrcmPatchRAM2?

I tried "make all" in your latest repo but I don't see those new kexts.

It's strange that you have 3 AppleHDAIDT.kext at the same place, provided that this should not be allowed for duplicate name.

Can you send me all of them?
