So for anyone who has never updated an install before, what problems would I face? I am using Clover.

Whats the difference between clover and Chameleon. Ive always used Chameleon. Should I switch? Is it easy?
If someone will answer this 2 question, I will also be happy. I want to upgrade to El Capitan but I use Chameleon. How can I change to Clover? Is it hard?

I CAN NOT UPDATE...

The purchase could not be completed.
The product distribution file could not be verified. It might be damaged or was not signed.

WHY?

If you've never heard of Clover by now then it's probably best if you just wait for Chimera/Multibeast update!
I have heard of them, saw some people here with Clover, but never know why it's better.

Anyway thanks for the fast reply

Basically it's a newer more modern boot loader that boots using UEFI vs Legacy. Here are some other things:

  • Boots troublesome desktop and laptop BIOS/UEFI
  • Uses native OS X installation media
  • Ability to patch DSDT/kernel/kexts at boot time
  • Creates OS X Recovery partition
  • No boot0 error with 4K Advanced Format drives
  • Solves multi-boot issues with Linux and Windows 7/8
  • Solves traditional bootloader NVRAM issues related to iMessage/FaceTime

That's straight from Tony's Post. Click here to learn how to install Clover

Thanks I really appreciate your help, because I had some problems with Chameleon after installing OS X. Basically problems which you mentioned in this post. boot0 error, now I have problems with iMessage login.

I have no need for any of these extras.
I would like to use Clover again, but sometimes audio didn't start up on boot, and I don't know how to fix that other than with a reboot.

I don't even know how to install audio kexts. Putting the kext in the Clover kext folder didn't do nothing.

But that's a topic for a whole different thread, I feel.
