For some reason I too am ending up with an EFI (partition?) on my computer after running Clover. On my flash drive I only have an empty EFI-Backups directory as seen here:

How did you fix that? Is just copy pasting the EFI folder from the other "partition" to my flash drive OK?

From what I could find the EFI partition is normally hidden and is used for the UEFI booting. It is mounted automatically by the Clover installer because that is where you need to copy the kexts and stuff. Step2 parts 18-22 of the guide refer to this mounted hidden partition on your thumb drive. Copy the files it refers to into the EFI folder on this mounted EFI partition.

Also, when you get to Step 5, parts 6 through 8 now refer to the hidden EFI partition on the drive with the new Yosemite installation.

PS - use a USB 3.0 thumb drive if you can, it's PAINFULLY slow on a USB 2.0 thumb drive (which the vast majority of small capacity drives are).

Good luck!

I am trying to do the steps 18 - 23. I don't know were to find /EFI/CLOVER.

Thank you Baja-king so much.

However, the frequency of the memory is not correct. It was DDR3 1866MHz while I installed by Unibeast. Now it's DDR3 1777MHz. See the screenshot below,

SOLVED

I am experiencing exactly the same issue. My RAM freq's are the same: 16 GB 1777 MHz DDR3
even tried to manually change the value of RAM in config.plist with no success.
Any one help?
What I did so far is:
- XMP Detection - YEs, NO, 1,2 - no success
installed / reinstalled UEFI drivers:
- OSXAptioFixDrv
- OSXLowMemFixDrv
wil try also OSXAptioFix2Drv
AnyOne idea?
Tom, how did you fixed it?

SOLVED
it was something completely different:

in SMBIOS there is a line called Trust - it has to be set on True NOT on false !
With Clover configurator is just clicking on the button trust at SMBIOS !
Succes !

You're a legend dude,

Using all the latest stuff for 10.10.4 and with a little (and i do mean very little) guesswork, i have a similar setup.

For some reason its reading the wrong system definition details in about this mac but its working perfectly other than that.

your "mac-mini" is too old for yosemite!!
install again with newer version of mac mini, hit the magic stick till the date is new enough. had the same stop sign, it said can not be installed, outdated.
hope i could help, right now i try to fix my mess here...

I've tried your method, installation finished without any problems, but right after step 5 i get this screen when booting

Thanks a lot Baja-King for this fantastic guide !
I wanted to move from Chameleon to clover as I was swithing from montain lion to Yosemite and all went straightforward. Thank you again for all your tips.

The only thing I need to find is a way to correct the small sound glitch which can be heard each time the sound wakes up.

Baja-King thank you for your guide. I followed your guide and itt worked for me yosemite 10.10.3 !
Now I am trying to do a clean install 10.10.5 using the latest clover software and at the first boot I get the apple log for about 2 - 3 minutes ... then the screen go grey I get the mouse arrow for a few seconds then the spinning beach ball ..... then it does not go away .
Any ideas what I am doing wrong ?

I'm not sure but something will be different.
Why don't you install 10.10.3 and update to 10.10.05 with the combo update download...
