Nope. I'm using Zenith432's patches for AppleUSBXHCI (via Clover config.plist) on my DH67BL which has the NEC/Renasas USB3 chipset. It works great on 10.10.

But in 10.11 everything is different, so new patches are required. I looked into it briefly... non-trivial. And I'm not sure it is worth it given the age of the board.

I'm thinking lack of USB3 might be the final straw to push me to update my desktop...

awhile ago i bought one of these guys http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008V3TH48 but this won't work neither. i think its because of the chipset its using Fresco FL1009. but it worked out of the box for me been using it in my main hack up to 10.10.5 but i might just get rid of it now.

Do you have a link? Or can post config.plist patch so I can try it?

The patches won't work with 10.11. They'll only work for 10.10.

The patches are documented here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/150-patched-appleusbxhci/

The patches I'm using with my board are in the config.plist here: https://github.com/RehabMan/Intel-DH67XX-DSDT-Patch
Thanks.

Since I have no Intel USB3 controller, do I need the "Disable Intel USB3 controller check" as well was the "Disable XHCI 1.0 check" or would it make any difference to put it in anyway"

If I can ever get the X99 booting with Clover I plan to migrate to it and sell the X58A or relegate it to the closet with the spare parts/parts boxes.

GB, not being a smart a$$ but maybe it's time for another x99 board... Luck with it.

The patches you need will vary depending on hardware. Trial/error is the name of the game.

The board works fine in Legacy Mode for both Windows 10 and OS X. Just seems a shame I can't get it working with EFI boot and Clover. Chimera does well on Yos, but need Clover for El Cap, and Clover just does not want to work. Either no boot or it boots, but then no GPU - complete signal loss to the display. I will keep plugging away at it as I have time.

There's some guys over at IM that claim Clover legacy is running El Cap. I installed El Cap on my Z97 and then cloned the drive and patched the kernel just to test. Haven't been able build a working installer. CloverUEFI does need to be r3263/r3264 with Rehabman's AptioFix for El Cap.
