Hi,
I have built a hackintosh but it's currently relying on the gpu in the processor. I will ( hopefully ) be getting three 21.5" hd monitors (one at a time) but would like to make sure that I can support 3. My mobo is the gigabyte ga-h81m-h which has one hdmi and one vga output, but when i get my monitor's I would like to have the right gpu(s) I am not wanting to spend that much, i have been looking at the gt-610 and the 210 but i'm not sure how many i need and should get. I know that some have hdmi and dvi, would using one gpu for two screens be worse than one per one screen? also would i notice any difference between dvi and hdmi. I am planning to use my centre screen for video editing and maybe gaming but im not really a pc gamer. my right screen would be for chrome and my left would be for social media and music. the monitors are, BenQ GL2250HM, they have both dvi and hdmi so if there is no quality difference i could use dvi.
Anyone know what i should do?
thanks, billy

There should be no quality difference between DVI and HDMI. Instead of buying multiple cards, perhaps take a look at a GT 740 - if you choose carefully you should be able to get three digital ports (usually 2xDVI and 1xHDMI or miniHDMI). Here are a couple of options for around US$100:

Gigabyte GT 740 2GB GDDR5 (GV-N740D5OC-2GI REV2): http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TB8XQXU - $99.99
EVGA GT 740 2GB GDDR5 (02G-P4-3747-KR): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=17Z-0025-00001 - $89.99 after $10 MIR

thank you, do you know whether it would be better to have two displays on 740 and one from motherboard (cpu graphics) or all three from the graphics card?
thanks, billy

I at least am unable to use both the integrated and discrete GPU's at the same time on OSX. In Windows it works perfectly, but with Yosemite I can't get it to work :/ so the safest bet is to do it through the graphics card!

Did you enable iGPU multi monitor in UEFI/BIOS?
