Which smbios should i use for Intel Pentium Penryn running Yosemite? I can give it a fake ID using clover but wondered what would be the best smbios for it.
The system is Samsung DP-U200 all in one Pc.
Nvidia graphics supported, Wifi card supported so just need to decided on the smbios and i can build my config file and go from there.
Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Your smbios is usually dictated by the processor/chipset of your system,
and you try to match it to a similar mac system
(ivy bridge, sandy bridge, etc....)

the program chameleon wizard is excellent for picking/giving you chip set info for a smbios

and It can create a smbios for you

>: (If you have the t4400 processor), mac pro 3,1 is kinda the go-to/generic smbios for

the older chip sets

Yeah thats the processor i've got. So you reckon go with smbios mac pro 3,1 and not fake the cpuid to ivybridge or sandybridge?

I do not know if faking the cpu Id is necessary.......(But you could always try it later)
even If so, you would want to fake the id to match a similar chip set/dual core processor

With your processor, Mac Pro 3,1 is the smbios that is widely used (at least to start with)
it seems to be the most "generic" and useable smbios

-there are a few imac models and mac mini models that may work better for you

the key is to get up and running and then try
other things to make you system more efficient/stable/ "more mac like"

(remember to back-up a working build)

Am going to give the Mac Pro 3,1 a go. At the moment i can't get past a flashing cursor to the clover GUI to attempt to install it. Time to keep plodding away.
