Running into another problem with clover now, where it stalls right after selecting osx as the boot option, and just shows the apple logo. Using -v shows that it freezes at the very first screen.

No idea without photo.

Post EFI/Clover folder.

Edit: do you know of any touchpad,

Which trackpad is in the laptop?

and audio drivers that may work? as none of the touchpad drivers I have tried have worked, and the only voodohda kext that worked did so with a loud hiss in the background.

Audio info in FAQ. You need audio codec dump from Linux to start.

You are great!

I'm very interesting in how did you complete your installation. Because I have been testing to make my New Razer Blade 14" become a Hackintosh, but never succeed!

Could you please post your clover & the bootloader ISO that you used?

Thanks a lot!

Thanks for your prompt reply!

Do post back if you manage to get Yosemite running with full qe/ci.

Since I need the laptop as a daily driver for uni, I've put windows back on it, but left the Yosemite partitions, and the 200mb efi partition to play around later on...

Hi guys!

I read this thread and I haven't seen any successfull hack,
Did someone managed to make the thing working ?
(on1080p ofc cause I think the HD4600 is still an issue)

Thx

OK so now that I see it working, again would you recommend I buy the 970m with 1080p screen or QHD? thanks.

Depends on your needs. The QHD is possible to get working, but you need to do more:

- DVMT-prealloc (this one can be tricky if there isn't a direct BIOS setting for it)
- framebuffer patch (not that difficult)
- IOKit patch (not difficult, but something you must do each update as it is not possible to do on-the-fly).

I know for certain that there is a bios mod for the 2014 model (the one with the 870m) to allow for the changes of the DVMT-prealloc value, but I would bet that there is also one for the 2015 model.

Use the link below and see if the tutorial applies to the newer model as well (while you won't be able to directly flash the 2014 bios on the 2015 blade, you should still be able to follow the steps to create your own modded version)
