Yah, re-extracted. I was originally on 3.0. Now on 2.x and still same problem. Who knows.
Booting in verbose mode, it just keeps saying superIOdevice failed/error then restarting with HDMI plugged in

Post EFI/Clover folder.

And just to clarify, by "re-extracted", you mean you did 'make cleanallex',and ./disassemble.sh when booting from USB?

Probably issue with patched AppleHDA. You could try patching it yourself. Guides linked from FAQ.

Not sure about that. Not reported previously.

Search for ELAN PS2 drivers. Already noted in post #1.

Probably due to unsupported WiFi/BT card installed.

Thank you for the suggestions. Already got AppleHDA and Elan touchpad working.

Patched AppleHDA is provided from this repo as it is the same ALC283 that is used by my u430. But perhaps it needs tweaks for this computer.

According to the ioreg you provided, you do not have the ELAN drivers installed. This guide provides Synaptics drivers.

Yes, exactly that as described in post 1

No patch for port 0204 in your config.plist.

Also, the 09 vs. 12 is believed to be some sort of timeout or delay. Try larger values.

Also, try with legacy enabled in BIOS (still booting UEFI but legacy enabled). Or with legacy disabled, depending on your current setting. Having legacy enabled enables CSM (compatibility support module), which affects how the graphics chip is initialized by BIOS.

One more question. When I boot with USB i can get bluetooth to work but not with the config.plist uploaded previously
I'm using the built in intel 3160 chip

Would need to see ioreg from both scenarios.

But Intel WiFi/BT is not supported.

You should purchase/install BCM94352Z.

Probably due to unsupported WiFi/BT card installed.

Is there a way to disable it so it won't slow down the boot and wakeup processes?
Currently I wouldn't like to change the WiFi/BT card I will use USB WiFi instead.

got it thx... just did did fresh install... installing developer tools... will get back to you with the results

Hey amoo_manoo,

I am also experiencing similar problems with HDMI video crashing the system (except in safe mode). Thing is I've installed with a copy of Yosemite thats dated back to 10.10.1. I am in the brink of having to do a fresh install all over again. May I ask if your HDMI problem is solved after a fresh install?

Thanks!

Remove the unsupported card.

USB WiFi not recommended.
