No, only the Model BCM94352z can be used.

I bought one from this eBay seller.

yes i know about t the whitelist i was thinking of modding the bios to unlock unsupported cards. and eBay doesn't ship to my country :D.

BCM4311 is only supported on 10.6. It is used on old Macs.

is it at all possible to mod the bios to unlock unsupported cards?

Not an issue with BIOS. It is a matter of no support in OS X for the card you asked about.

yeah i meant with supported cards from this guide:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/network/104850-guide-airport-pcie-half-mini-v2.html

so let me rephrase...
can i mod my bios to get any OSX supported half mini cards from the link above (that fits my wifi slot) to work? like BCM94360CD, BCM94331CD, AR9280 or AR9380.
sorry i know the way i speak english can be misleading sometimes.

The Y50 uses NGFF form factor for WiFi card. Half mini PCIe cards don't fit (physically).

and the only NGFF card supported by OSX is bcm94352z?

Only confirmed:
- BCM94352Z
- BCM94352ZAE

Might work, but not confirmed:
- BCM94356Z
- BCM94356ZAE

Not sure it exists, but if it did, would probably work:
- BCM94360Z
- BCM94360ZAE
