Mac App Store access with NullEthernet.kext

edit: somehow it works now, but I'm still unable to download anything off MAS (getting the "your device cannot be verified" error message when attempting to login). Could it be something related to the macaddress? I can see the Ethernet in SysPrefs/Network and it says "self assigned ip" and "connected" under status.

Post ioreg: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/58368-guide-how-make-copy-ioreg.html. Please, use the IORegistryExplorer v2.1 attached to the post! DO NOT reply to an ioreg from any other version of IORegistryExplorer.app.

It must be at 'en0'. Yours is at 'en2'. Follow the instructions in the README for resetting your network interfaces.
ugh i need to learn to read more. Thanks again!

Hi,
I am totally new to this "Hackintosh" thing,
and so far I've been able to install snow leopard.
I would like to upgrade to yosemite using the mac app store,
but I can't, Because I get the authentication error.
Someone e-mailed me this thread, and I need some help...
I have USB Ethernet, and need some help with this null ethernet kext.
I've already installed the kext, but now I don't know what to do...
Please Help Me,

-lilbob

Are you booting Snow Leopard in 32-bit or 64-bit mode?

If 32-bit, you need to use a 32-bit version of NullEthernet. I provided one in this post: http://www.tonymacx86.com/snow-leop...95-app-store-error-post948310.html#post948310

If 64-bit you can follow the instructions like normal.

You need to use the 32-bit version I linked. Don't forget to read the README for information on needed DSDT/SSDT work.

Hi all,

I've tried to follow this thread closely, but couldn't find a solution to my case. I also get the same error message. Unfortunately, however, my ethernet port is broken (I'm still not 100% sure if it's really a hardware issue, but I can't even access ethernet when booting via Linux, so the thing really seems to be broken.) That means, the existing fixes for the app-store issue don't work. Does anyone have an idea how to go about it in my case?

Thank you so much!
