We recommend you don't use iMac15,1, Mac Pro 4,1, Mac Pro 5,1 or Mac Pro 6,1 as these System Definitions cause problems for hackintoshes. Use Mac Pro 3,1 SysDef for loading the Web drivers and then optionally change to iMac14,2 if the Mac Pro 3,1 is not meeting your performance needs.

Fortunately, I didn't have any problem with 15,1 SMBios until this nvidia update, as I use integrated GPU as basic for my system.

I have GTX 760 for background rendering on DAZ3D Studio. I don't have problem with 15,1 SysDef on rendering. DAZ3D recognizes as well GTX. But I can't boot anymore with this GPU if I want it too. That'a all.

I can't seem to get the drivers to install. I start the installer, it gets on the last step of the install and then my whole system freezes. GTX 770.

EDIT: The pref pane was added but I can't access it, as I think it only partially installed before crashing. I think it was a kernel panic as I saw some text flash for a split second. I had to boot from my install USB just to get back into my system. Now I'm not sure about how to go about uninstalling, or what to do from here in general.

Is there a reason you are trying to use the Nvidia web drivers? The GTX 770 is supported natively by OS X.

Not really. I'm having some boot times that seem slower than they should be, so I was trying the nvidia graphics drivers to see if it was something to do with my graphics. But it seems that was a poor decision lol. :p Any idea of how I could uninstall them? I found online that there is supposed to be an uninstaller file in Application support but I don't see that. I'm not sure why the installer would cause a KP though, that seems weird to me.

You can uninstall from the Nvidia menu pref pane.

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't see that the Nvidia pref pane was inaccessible. For that you'll have to use the search function.

You can uninstall from the Nvidia menu pref pane.
It won't open though. It triggers a pop up that says "Unable to open the NVIDIA Driver Manager" whenever I click on it. I'm guessing because the install didn't completely finish.

using iMac14,2 smbios

- updated to 10.10.4
- booted with nv_disable=1
-installed Nvidia drivers
-booted with nvda_drv=1 and everything works great

i also made a little kext in order to fix the "[AGPM Controller] unknownPlatform"
you can edit it to match your setup.

After updating graphics drivers for my GTX 960 FTW, the boot time was rather long during the apple logo screen. I got a normal boot time with nvda_drv=1. Drivers downloaded from the site didn't install this code for some reason, i'll just write it in myself. Not sure if this is the same problem when updating from preferences. Hope this helps someone. Thanks.
