[Guide] GA-X58A-UD3R (2.0) BIOS FH - i7 930 - Apple OEM HD5770

Thx for the tip on -v.

I reinstalled Yosemite and it runs with no multibeast drivers.
When I ran Multibeast I added the DSDT for gigabyte ga-x58-ud3r FH selecting only 1080p Display Mode (as I was getting only low res).
Now the system will not boot unless I use the Unibeast flash drive, then it stalls at the Apple logo.

Here are the -v of my current situation. Any suggestions pointing me toward a solution would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance :)

btw... I'm running a dual boot with Windows 7 Ultimate so I can post these messages.

Hello,

I also just came across these DSDT install steps on your site and I'm looking for clarification here. Does this need to be done in addition to the Multibeast selection and install of the DSDT?

How to Install a DSDT

1. Download a DSDT from the DSDT Database or Create Your Own DSDT Using MaciASL
2. Rename the file DSDT.aml -
I did not rename the file prior to installing it with Multibeast.

3. Navigate to /Extra -
Q. Where do I find this?

4. Drag/drop the DSDT.aml into /Extra

...
2. Rename the file DSDT.aml -
I did not rename the file prior to installing it with Multibeast.
Following instructions is a good habit to get into.

3. Navigate to /Extra -
Q. Where do I find this?
...
The Extra folder is located in the root of your installation drive.

Hello all,

Pluggin away here. Just like to say thanks for your patience and answers to my questions, as this is new to me. Found the /Extra folder after installing the MB driver. The DSDT file was there, but I copy/pasted it over anyway.

I started with a fresh install of Yosemite. I didn't need any boot flags to install. Once opened I get internet and low res from my video card. Yosemite is sluggish but it works. I found that as soon as I select the DSDT file and other drivers in MB, Yosemite is more responsive (before reboot), then the system hangs on reboot.

Here is the MB driver set I installed and the subsequent boot error in verbose.

Any assistance in interpreting the error would be greatly appreciated. thx

... moving along. The Chimera boot loader is working fine. Here's what I get when I boot in -x.

I see there's a...

BUG in process suhlperd[155]: over released legacy external boost assertions (0 total, 0 external, 0 legacy external

Any ideas what this could be referring to?

Given where it is stopping it is either choking on the NIC driver or graphics.
You are duplicating items to be installed in MultiBeast needlessly.
Look at what UserDSDT installs (bottom of right pane in MB) and what you selected under customization. Select one set or the other but not both.
For this board you basically need UserDSDT with DSDT matched for model and BIOS version on the desktop,
audio kext, networking kext and CMOS reset patch if I remember right. EVOReboot I think is already in UserDSDT.
Wait until you have all that installed and booting and backed up (cloned is best) before installing anything else.

UPDATE: Still no stable reboot after I've installed UserDSDT, audio kext, both networking kext (RealtekRTL81xx v0.0.90 and RealtekRTL8111 v1.2.3 seperately) CMOS reset patch alone and with EvOreboot, and GraphicsEnabler=Yes in multiple combination.

Here are the latest MB settings and Verbose print screen.

Needless to say, any suggestions on what may be halting the reboot would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE.

Hello again.

Happy to say I've been able to get the system now to reboot and have saved a CCclone backup. Thank you.

Here are the outstanding issues.

Working
1. NETWORK - Ethernet is working
2. GRAPHICS - Display works (but low res only - card can display 1680x1050)
3. USB - USB Keyboard and Mouse are functional > No USB 3 drivers were loaded.

Not Working yet
1. OSX - Yosemite is sluggish
I assume this will improve once the drivers are all good

2. AUDIO - No audio > Loaded Audio driver ALC889
Should I try other drivers? Any suggestions?

3. GRAPHICS - display shows low res only - card can display 1680x1050 > GraphicsEnabler=YES was NOT selected.
I tried updating the chameleon.Boot.plist in the /Extras folder adding
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1680x1050</string>
but this caused the system to not reboot. Have I missed a step?

4. PS/2 - Ports not working > No PS/2 drivers were loaded.
Have yet to try

5. PCI - I have a MOTU PCIe 424 card yet to install to support music production.
Have yet to try

Any advice on next steps, driver selections and possible tweaking would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance! :)

Hi i just installed Yosemite on my system with Unibeast and Multibeast.

I have some problems with USB some time works and sometimes didnt works. I have another problem with Ethernet not showing on system report after i installed Multibeast with DSDT User option.

In system report under Ethernet Cards it show this message: this computer does not appear to have any PCI ethernet card installed.(This does not appear at fist login, i saw the correct info and in network preference to before install Multibeast.)

Multibeast:

1 x SSD Samsung EVO 850 250GB

Thanks in advance i hope you can help me.

adriancan for the network did you try AppleRTL8169Ethernet.kext it works for me and it appears in the system report.

Btw Yosemite works but I found it a bit sluggish, it sometimes need to think before resizing a finder window or to switch from one task to another or just a bit of lag when starting to type. If any of you could point me in the proper direction I wold appreciate.
At the moment I am running the Nvidia web driver 346.02.02f03 with a gtx680 it seems to have a bug and it does default to the osx driver even if you restart it selecting the web driver.

Thanks for the amazing tips a guides you guys keep posting :)
