How To: Build your own "Real" Airport Card

The price has been raised by BHINER which is English language purchasing agent.
Original seller is popular Chinese only website TAOBAO which is still selling it for 299 Yuan which is $49.
Search for different TAOBAO purchasing agent. There are dozens of them.

I use two of those cards succesfully in two different computers running OSX 10.9.
One on old GA-EX58-UD5 mobo and other on new GA-Z87MX-D3H mobo.

Does this also support dual-band wifi (2.4GHz & 5GHz) or is this single-band only (2.4GHz)?

Yes it does. This PCI-E adapter is using Broadcom BCM94360CD card found in iMac 2013.

What's the approximate range of the Bluetooth on those cards?

I have bought this:

and i would like to use it also with Windows 8.1 x64 but no luck on that until now. Has anyone information if the cards also can work under windows 8.1?

I have found different vendor pages like from asus, where I can download a driver (e.g. http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=G750JW) but in the device manager it says that the device can't be started... :(

Best regards,
Fox

This $16 kit appears to include the adapter you seek: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JBFF2W6/
I am not 100% sure, so please investigate the specs.
This adapter should allow the BCM94352HMB PCI Express Mini Cards to passively connect to a 1x PCIe slot in your CustoMac.
The kit also includes two antennas, which hopefully allow enough gain to enable 801.11ac 700+ mbps wi-fi, assuming you have an ac-capable router.
There also appears to be a USB power cable. This cable will connect the BCM94352HMB's Bluetooth power jack to an available USB power plug on your system board.
Good luck, and please post how you do!

how to connect that usb power cable in motherboard. I have x58a ud7.
