Ok, sorry. I can't find the delete button on my reply tho... seems as if it's disabled. You as a moderator can probably delete these irrelevant posts and I'll open another thread.

Don't sweat it. We can handle a few off-topics...

Boot Stuck!?

Do you know the cause of this state!?

When it comes to this, no operation, it is black out much.
The keyboard, and various touch, the screen may return.
Unfortunately, what the key is valid, it does not know.

In Intel HD 5500, people of "black out at boot time", this state of the be!?

---
At the time of the black screen, Shift + Alt + 4? Press, when the print screen, if it was started with InjectIntel = False, had left a file on the desktop.
I wonder if backlight is off!?
---

Cause of the black screen, be high-resolution?
My X1 Carbon Gen 3 is WQHD (2560x1440).

Dell XPS 15 (9530) - Intel HD 4600 Graphics on QHD + built-in display - After reading Need some help, is different like setting in the case of QHD. It does no choice but to the analysis???

ig-platform-id = NULL, Intelinject = False Bootmode. ScreenCapture.

When's ig-platform-id = 0x16160002, Intelinject = True, black screen ...
(But, it is not death. hang-up running internally)

Though custom EDID also tried, it was useless.

(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

System: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Did you resolve the issue with DMVT-prealloc? Notice you have the patch to BDW that disables the assertion (not a good idea). Better to resolve the root of the problem (BIOS settings).

DMVT-prealloc of the problem has not been resolved.
By patching the AppleIntelBDWGraphicsFramebuffer, thereby avoiding the stuck.

This method, or not the best ...:beachball:

Bad idea to mask an assertion. The assertion is telling you that something is wrong. The programmer that coded the assertion is saying "this is not a condition I intend to handle". You should not be surprised if you add a patch to disable an assertion and the code doesn't work.

I see. After all, it means a patch to avoid the error checking of the driver.
The patch itself, and correctly, or that I do not always work correctly.

In BIOIS, you can either find a way to enable the DVMT best of is.
However, we're told that "there is not" the Lenovo support.
In the regular route, how bad of.

Yes... just to clarify. The driver is not designed to work with the BIOS configuration that your PC has. The solution is not to remove the notification of the problem (the assertion), but rather to change the configuration to conform to the expectation of the driver.

Some are finding ways via UEFI shell.

It's good if you can set in the STEP 2.2 of [GUIDE] Intel HD Graphics 5500 on OS X Yosemite 10.10.3
Latest Lenovo PC, since BIOS is locked, it can not be backed up, in the BIOS update of Lenovo HP, you can see the time being of things.
When you analyze the BIOS, it is to fix the memory of DVMT, in 0x37,
Option: 32MB, Value: 0x1
Option: 64MB, Value: 0x2
Option: 128MB, Value: 0x4
In but it seems to be set, in the first place if there full of 0x37, or was it unclear good in this.

In addition, "setup_var address value" whether also unknown is running correctly.
