cellulosa is there some reason for the "arch=i386" in your flags? I have not seen this call used in years.

<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>arch=i386 kext-dev-mode=1</string>

Good modding,
neil

It's just an older computer I haven't used for years since I moved abroad. As I came back I wanted to upgrade it straight from Lion to Yosemite and that's how it was configured.

Install the attached kext.

Seems like wrong org.chameleon.boot plist. Delete it then re-run multibeast with proper options selected.

Alright, so I've managed via terminal to delete the wrong org.chameleon.boot plist, boot via UniBeast and re-run MultiBeast with the proper options selected. Now it boots regularly again but still only with the nv_disable=1 flag.

Also, neither the Ethernet nor the audio altogether with the video card seem to get recognised. Just to clarify to install the kext using KextBeast I just have to drop all the files on my desktop and run it, right? I mean, I see the correct kexts in S/L/E but these don't seem to work.

UPDATE: My bad, as the interface was flicky I set GraphicsEnabler=No. I've changed it to Yes and now everything seem to work fine with your kext. Thank you! As for the Ethernet and the Audio still nothing though. Any ideas?

The kext present natively, but on 10.10.3 it requires some changes. The attached kext with corrections.

Yes. You have to use the chimer'a graphics injection (GraphicsEnabler=Yes) as you have a NVIDIA 8800GT graphics card.

For Ethernet : Identify the ethernet chip model with DPCIManger (Check in PCI List tab), then install proper kext for it (Most of the kexts are available with multibeast)

DPCIManager : http://sourceforge.net/projects/dpcimanager/

For Audio : http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/143757-audio-realtek-alc-applehda-guide.html

Ok, as an addendum, tried without Legacy USB, but always getting kernel panic on booting from the USB drive. Tried the various boot flags, as indicated here and in the main Yosemite install thread, to no avail. Suggestions?

Photos of the kernel panics are attached.

Thanks again!

i have the same problem!!!

Did you find the solution?

I see. T hank you for the clarification and the kext.

As for the Ethernet, on my P5Q-E I have a dual controller, but I found some Mavericks kext for one of them, Marvell 88E8056. Everything worked fine also after several reboots.

For the audio, I tried several kext for my chipset (AD2000B) but I couldn't finished testing because now it gets stuck here:

Is the booting stuck here??

Waiting for DSMOS is the problem with FakeSMC.kext, means it may not loading or not installed. Try to boot with your bootable USB.

Hi...
I need your help
I have a p5q with nvidia gainward gt 730.
After installation yosemite 10.10.3 I can't boot my pc.
I' ve tried with Clover, and other boot but I cant't solve it.

I don't know correct parameter or flag to use inside clover or chamaleon.

But, in last version, Yosemite 10.10.2 I used chamaleon with this line command and yosemite work correctly.
nvda_drv=1 GraphicsEnabler=no

Can you help me?
Thanks

And if it's possible I need help to work correctly with other hard disk in my p5q with ML 10.8.5 with Gainward gt730 because ML start with hdmi but the system don't use correct drivers for nvidia and I read in about this mac "Unknown svideo with 4mb" but my svideo is nvidia gainward gt730 with 2gb ram

Excuse for my bad english

After installing the 10.10.3 update, have you installed the latest web driver which is released for 10.10.3??

Web Driver for 10.10.3 (14D131): http://us.download.nvidia.com/Mac/Quadro_Certified/346.01.02f01/WebDriver-346.01.02f01.pkg

As the card requires web driver on 10.10.2, you may have to install web driver on ML too to get it enabled.
If you are running 10.8.5 (12F2518) the install the linked version of Web Driver and boot with flag "nvda_drv=1"

Web Driver for ML 10.8.5 (12F2518) : http://us.download.nvidia.com/Mac/Quadro_Certified/313.01.04f04/WebDriver-313.01.04f04.pkg

ok, thanks, but my problem in yosemite 10.10.3 is...
I have downloaded and installed new update 10.10.3 with nvidia drivers for 10.10.2 and reboot without installed last nvidia webdrivers.
And now, I can't boot Yosemite because with my version of chamaleon don't boot.
With Clover i don't know the correctly flag to use.

I can use only ML with webdriver not correct.

On the clover screen, goto options and then select Boot Args. There you can add/edit boot flags.

Sorry... You mean your GFX card worked perfectly without web driver on ML?
