Clovers HaswellE patch is working on 10.10.3:

You'll also need 10.10.3 (14D131) Nvidia Web Driver: http://us.download.nvidia.com/Mac/Quadro_Certified/346.01.02f01/WebDriver-346.01.02f01.pkg

I've read about the process of updating software versions of OS X when it came to Multibeast and Chimera. What's the update process when using Clover? Is it relatively the same? Also with using Clover, what's not working with this build?
If you're using CloverUEFI the process is the same as a real mac, run the update and reboot... If you're using a nVidia 900 series card, boot with nv_diasable=1, install the appropriate web drivers, and reboot.

As stated in the OP everything works fine except sleep.

Hey kduvernay - wanted to thank you for a seamless tutorial. I ran this using the Gigabyte X99-UD5-WIFI and had only one change point

Hand Offs Disabled
Vt-D DISABLED
XHCI MODE DISABLED ** key change

Not sure if I'll save someone else headaches, but I was stuck at "PCI Config..." until changing those items.

ALSO,

Between your Step 1) and 2), you will reboot and boot into the Install Yosemite drive again to finish the install (the first boot preps, followed by a reboot to USB, press Install Yosemite, then it will write to your selected drive).

Thanks again!

System Specs:

i7 5820k
Windforce GTX 770 4gb
16gb Crucial Ballistix
Samsung 840 Pro
Gigabyte X99-UD5-Wifi

Good news, very cool...

Good news, very cool...

More good news - I'm fully up and running! I used MultiBeast like you suggested - would you elaborate on why this is more beneficial? If I'm just dense, feel free to ignore =)

iMessage worked out the box with SMS forwarding as well. I can't seem to figure out how to get my Bluetooth working but it does show in settings.

My USB 3.0 is working perfectly after enabling XHCI (and hand-off). I even tested 3.8, 4.0 and 4.3 Ghz auto-overclocks from my board (I can't seem to figure out how to control my own settings?).

Geekbench 3 on 64bit:

3.3Ghz Stock ~20,010
3.8GhZ OC ~22,000 http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/2299294
4.0GhZ OC ~23,500
4.3GhZ OC ~25,200

Again, so many thanks! The most painless install of OSX for me yet (coming up from Z68).

kduvernay this is a really great thread and you have me wanting to do one of these X99M builds. My thoughts are along the lines of how many of my project machines do I have to sell to fund one of theses?

Thank you.

Good modding,
neil

I have an Asus X99-Deluxe on order and expect it to be in my sweaty hands by the end of the week if I am lucky or early next week. I am a little concerned on getting it up and running but will try both Clover and UniBeast installs...
This is all very addictive and expensive in terms of time and money...the former I have lots but the latter...?

What CPU? The biggest issues I've seen with the Asus X99-Deluxe is installing with a 5960K.

Note: The OP installation guide works fine for a clean install of 10.10.3.

What can I say but WOW, what a machine! I came here as I'm still looking to do my first build, and as my daughters PC PC blew up retell I have the choice of a replacement for her or she has my old machine & i build something new:)

I found a second hand Hackintosh build on eBay I found (i5 4670k, R9 270x, 8GB RAM on a Gigabyte H87N-WIFI) which would be great for my daughter as she could have a Mac & a PC, but as my Mac Pro 2012 and my Sandy Bridge gaming PC is getting older I've been thinking of building my own build! Looking at this has now got me drooling...what an amazing post with all this detail its looks fairly straight forward, one problem though I'm in the UK, a lot of the parts here are unavailable :(
