Hi Guys

Runing a GTX970 4 GB card on my HackyMac

After updating to Nvidia's newest driver for 10.10.3 it loads up from Clover boot menu but then suddenly my screen goes to standby its connected with HDMI.

I can only boot with nv_disable=1, nvda_drv=1 is there as it should be. Tried repairing perms and cache in DPCI manager and in disc util.

Any suggestions?

What is your system definition?

What is your system definition?

MacPro 6,1

*update*

I just changed to an iMac 14,2 def, now it recognizes my gfx card but still no signal, unless i boot with nv_disable=1 when i check its telling me Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 0 MB

Same here Booting Clover on a x79 system with gtx 980 i updated my back up boot drive to test 10.10.3 with the new Nvidia web drivers but i get a blank screen. System is working perfectly on 10.10.2 and if i boot with NV disable =1 it works but without any grafx acceleration. i use Mac Pro 6,1 and would like to keep it that way so i dont screw my iMessages / iCloud working set up.

anyone got any hints ?

I fixed mine! Changed from MacPro 6,1 to iMac 14,2 transferred same settings in Clover (remember til serial) reboot, repair perms + rebuild cache and then the most important part REMOVE inject nvidia in Clover!

Now mine is working perfect and iMessage is still working also!

I have switched back and for between iMac14,2 and iMac15,1 and never loose iMessage. Just have to log back in. The MacPro6,1 and iMac15,1 have caused lots of people problems with the latest drivers.

I actually keep a couple of working config files saved named config151.plist, config31.plist, etc. That way I can easily test other system definitions from the Clover boot menu. Just go to options and then at the top it will say config: config. Edit that line to boot using the plist you choose (ex - config: config151).

And yes, with a GTX9xx you do not use "Inject NVIDIA".

good to hear ! so you changed to imac 14,2 and you kept all other info ( serial mlb etc ?) the same ?? Or you modified all the smbios info to match a imac 14,2 ?

the only thing i kept in SMBIOS fan was serial, board serial number (which is the same as serial) and smUUID the rest i used the magic wand :D

And then it worked.

Thanks for the tip, i will try it. But if serial is not matching your smbios hardware that could cause problem on the long run...dont you think ?
