Hello, I recently successfully installed Yosemite on to my build. It is co-existing with Windows 8 (on a separate hard drive.) I notice that my internet speed has been significantly slower while using Windows 8 after the install of Yosemite (Yosemite internet working fine). I logged on to my Belkin Router, and under connected devices, I noticed that my router reads Yosemite as my Windows 8 OS. They are both reserved under the same IPv4 address. Basically the router thinks my Yosemite is the same as my Windows 8. Could this be the issue and how could I fix this?

I am using a TrendNet TEW-805UB USB Internet Card.

It is not at all a problem, at a time only one OS is functional. As you are using DHCP, the router will provide first IP to the first connected device. If only the PC is connected to the router then router will assign the same IP to your PC even if you are running Windows or OS X.

If the internet is slow in windows, then check the automatic updates, firewall settings, automatic application updates,etc..

Also test speed (Using online Speed Test) from both OS.

I've already checked for updates for the OS and drivers. I checked for Malware and my firewall is secure. I've ran speed tests on both OS's, and Yosemite is giving me 40-50 Mbps, while Windows 8 is giving me 1-2 Mbps. I feel like :banghead:

Then it might be something related to the Adapter settings or something in windows.

Better open a thread in Network sections and see anyone have any idea or not.
