Hey

Has any one built one for Photoshop editing? Also does anyone use Capture One Pro? Is there any issues with it?

I'm a complete novice to Hackintosh but have past experience at building computers if it helps me (although last one I built was about 15 years ago).

I'm looking to build for photo editing, my ideal is as powerful as possible but I will be on a budget and want it under £1000.

Can I get some advice on what to get. is it best to stick to the shopping list CustoMac Pro and not divert off or will I get a better system from using other bits.

Motherboards - are gigabyte best for compatibility? I was thinking would be good to get one with thunderbolt but range is limiting with that priority.

CPU - Xeon or i5 or i7, to overclock and get external fan?

I have a old G5 tower case can I use this and the power supply that comes with it??

any help and advice on where to start would be helpful

Please read rules about using search before posting - there are dozens of PS users. Don't know about Capture One - isn't that a bench mark app? Or is the benchmark app part of the main app?
