Hi RehabMan,

I listed some displays on other thread and misaddressed a Mavericks issue there. It´s about some comments you made in this posting 964 - you know, lazy OS X runs
http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-probook-mavericks/112380-guide-installing-mavericks-hp-probook-97.html

Used the Unibeast at that time and the basic probook installer

Probook installer clover edition seems a bit complicated for me so, I would use the same basic probook installer in its updated version. Could the new Unibeast with refreshed drivers and boot support, and Chimera 4.0 make a difference?

It´s how fast the OS X runs, not how long the install takes that I´m interested in.

Thanks a lot

What version of OS X does your question concern?

Hi RehabMan and thank you. I have the 10.9.4

You can use either Clover or the Unibeast method. No "updated" Probook Installer is required.

I'd recommend Clover.

I think Clover is a bit too much for my knowledge :) I would stay with Unibeast. I said updated Probook Installler but see 6.1.14 is a beta version so I will use the previous one. As for Unibeast - I think I used version 3 - would the new one solve the problem?

Thank you

I think if you tried Clover by following the guide, you'd be surprised how easy it is.

Hi RehabMan
i'm new in the forum and i'm tryng to install Mav on my 4540s..

I now have my first doubt for the point 4 of the guide:

4. Copy the latest HP Probook Installer to the flash drive. You will need it later.

Have I to copy the .zip file or the .pkg one ?

thanks for reply

Just a confirmation that the Clover install is very easy and I got it right on the first attempt.
