I'm having a weird issue. I've installed the system, got it to reboot a couple of times with no issues, but after the last reboot, once the Apple logo appears, it boots incredibly slow and then hangs. When I reboot in -v, it looks like it loads the hard drives then gets to the Ethernet and that's where it stops. I've tried starting things in safe mode, etc and the only thing that works is booting from the USB drive using "cpus=1" in order to get around another issue with the NullPower.

Is anyone having this problem after installing where it just stops wording suddenly or slow boot?

I'm using a i7, GA-Z68XP-UD3 with UEFI BIOS, installed on a 256GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO mSATA.

Here's the -v screen where it's hanging up. Stops when it gets to the Ethernet [AppleYukon2].

Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

I've got a similair issue. It was fine all day while i was working on it. I came home after being out and it was asleep. It took a while to wake up. And then it shut down. Now it slows down during the boot and wont go past the apple.

Same problem after full shut down. Not OP, but seems we might have a similar issue.

Ok, for right now I think I've fixed it... at least for now and for my system. I can't say this will for for you all, but it might be worth a try. I made a few adjustments and changes to my system that you might want to try and see if it makes your system stable.

1. I added the NullCPUPowerManagement from the Kext download area (http://www.tonymacx86.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=268) to the 10.11 sub folder of kexts. I was having to add CPUs = 1 to prevent a Kernel Panic and this seemed to fix not having to have that boot flag anymore.

2. Using the Clover Configurator, under "ACPI" I checked the "Patch APIC".

3. Under "System Parameters", I switched "Inject Kexts" to "Yes".

Maybe that might help anyone else out.

Thanks for letting me know. I started from scratch. Used Fake SMC and adjusted my system profile. Seems to be working now fine now as it did before. I just hope it doesn't decide to give up like last time!

Thanks!!

This also fix my problems with my Z68X-UD3H-B3 board!

Since you guys have the same board I was wondering if you could help.

I've upgraded my Yosemite/Chimera install to El Capitan/Clover today. The biggest problem so far is that I can't boot without a kernel panic. The next time it boots, after the panic, it seems to recover and I get to the desktop, with the message about the system not being shut down properly.

Attached is a screen shot of the last few lines in verbose mode.

Any help appreciated.
